Just saw The TransCanada Highway Men in Kingston last night, what a blast!!! A ton of great songs and stories. If they are in your area, don't miss it, well worth it!!

I was at the show as well, nice nod to Gord/The Hip from Steven Page singing poets chorous as the outro of Make you Mad. Will be interested to learn if that was a part of their set or something they busted out for Kingston.
Honey, please or a strippers union guest would have been too much to ask for
Very cool format with the interviews and photos/etc projected behind the stage. Have to admit I was hesitant to purchase the tickets due to their price point, but the guys really nailed it and I was glad I went.

We were hesitant too, but definitely happy we decided to take the chance, was a great show.
Would have been great to see one of the guys from The Hip join them on something, but at a minimum I did fully expect Kris Abbott to join in one at least on TPOH song. Was crossing my fingers for a little mini reunion on Cigarette Dangles. No luck though.

I too saw these guys last week in Guelph. Tickets were a gift so I went in with small expectations and was incredibly impressed. All four sounded great, were entertaining and as others mention the combination of pre-recorded videos, stag banter and stories made for a very enjoyable night.

Such a great song. Man, those guys wrote some gems back in the day. Good Weird Feeling and Nest will forever remain two of my favorite Canadian albums of all time.

Caught the Harpoonist & Axe Murderer 2x a couple of weeks back in Toronto & Hamilton. What a great live show they put on. New songs sound great, can't wait for their return this summer.....
Hitting Burlington's ticketed Sound of Music show with Live & the Offspring headlining. Not a massive fan, but will be a fun day of music.
Also seeing Pokey LaFarge at the Horseshoe on July 2nd....really looking forward to that one

I'm usually at the cottage that long weekend, so I am not sure if I can make it, but I bought tickets to Detroit in June. Lillie Mae is opening up in Detroit, but not Toronto. She is incredible. Both have put out stuff on TMR, so I am pretty familiar with both and have seen them before.

Posts on social media paint a scene of confusion and anger. Photos depict attendees' luggage being dumped into shipping containers for storage, lockers without locks — all set against beaten, dusty grounds instead of postcard-friendly beaches.
Blink-182 tweeted Thursday it would be pulling out of the event. "We're not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give our fans," the band said in a statement.
Organizers said on the festival website and via social media channels Friday that the event was "being postponed" and "due to circumstances out of our control, the physical infrastructure was not in place on time and we are unable to fulfil on that vision safely and enjoyably for our guests."
The festival said staff was focusing on getting everyone off the island.
Here's the official statement from the organizers:

At this time, we are working tirelessly to get flights scheduled and get everyone off of Great Exuma and home safely as quickly as we can. We ask that guests currently on-island do not make their own arrangements to get to the airport as we are coordinating those plans. We are working to place everyone on complimentary charters back to Miami today; this process has commenced and the safety and comfort of our guests is our top priority.
The festival is being postponed until we can further assess if and when we are able to create the high- quality experience we envisioned.
We ask for everyone's patience and cooperation during this difficult time as we work as quickly and safely as we can to remedy this unforeseeable situation. We will continue to provide regular updates via email to our guests and via our official social media channels as they become available.

For sure! The whole thing is quite amusing. I'm amazed that people would pay that kind of money to see a festival headlined by Major Lazer, Migos, Blink-182 and Disclosure. I guess it's not who you see, it's that you be seen... nothing more important at a music festival than getting some great selfies for your Instagram!

Haha, you had me for a few seconds there. These people were clearly duped and I hope they at least get refunds on their tickets. Funny comment on Facebook about what happened:
"This would make for a good Eli Roth horror movie. A bunch of dumb ass rich kids get stranded on the island from hell and get picked off one by one while trying to film themselves with selfie sicks and drones."
