Hey, Brisebois has more Stanley Cups to his name than the Maple Leafs have had in the last 40 years!!.....
One!

Completely by accident I assure you.
And I was wondering how long it would take before the obvious shot was taken... very original.

Im not sure who is dumber, Montreal for wanting him back, or Breezeby for going back?
I hope he gets boooed out of the rink. Unless this signing is leading up to a major trade of some kind, it stinks.

Penner looked good with the Ducks last season, but considering that was his first full season in the league, $21.5m over 5 years seems like a pretty ridiculous contract to me. Lupul looked good in his first year with the Ducks too, and we all know how well he turned out as an Oiler. If I'm Brain Burke, I take the draft picks and let him go.
And now it's official... the Ducks declined to sign Penner, so Lowe has his man. Of course Burke couldn't resist taking a few parting shots at Lowe along the way, because that's Burke's MO, to the entertainment of hockey fans everywhere! Anyway, Lowe better hope this guy works out, otherwise he may not be able to walk the streets of Edmonton safely!

"I have one responsibility and one responsibility only - and that's to the Edmonton Oilers fans and the Edmonton Oilers ownership." - Kevin Lowe
Maybe my math is bad, but that sounds like more than one responsibility to me. Actually, my math must definitely be bad because I don't see how giving $21.25 million to a guy with
33 career goals in the NHL is being all that responsible to ownership.

yeah, that's pretty crazy really...even crazier than signing Briesbois, haha, I imagine Briesbois came relatively cheap, and he can't be any worse than Souray was defensively...if so not by much lol, so even though it's a very underwhelming move, it's not a completely wild one...and it's only for a year anyway...rather him on the team than fucking Samsanov...he did spend all his best years in Montreal too, so you never know, he might have a productive campaign as the 6th defensemen.

Whats everyones opinion on the new Washington Capitals jersey and the possiblility of Vancouver's new sweaters?
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
EDIT: for whatever reason this picture doesn't work in this thread so here is a link to the picture. http://www.kuklaskorner.com/images/uplo ... iforms.gif
I personally love the fact that the Caps have gone back to their old symbol, as for Vancouver nothing is official yet but i really hope they don't change their uniform to the above picture. There were three different new designs that the Canucks had in mind but i could only find this one picture. One of them was the hockey stick logo, away white, home blue. That i wouldn't mind but i hate the new logo above. The third option was going back to the blue, white and green colours but keeping the whale logo as a home jersey and the hockey stick logo as the away (i think, could be vise versa). I'd like to see them go back to the hockey stick logo or just keep the jerseys they already have.
Any thoughts?

I like both. They both have that throw-back feeling. Both excellent jerseys. Let's hope Vancouver sticks with this one instead of changing it again in two years.

Seriously.....does any team stick it to their fans more than the 'nucks? It seems like they change their jerseys every three months. And lest we forget good ole Pavel Bure and his switch from #10 to #96 and back to #10. And remember the third jerseys below.....which lasted all of one season?
