It's just a metter of time before they make a movie about Katrina and would anyone be surprised if the makers of that movie who probably don't even know about the song, call the movie "New Orleans Is Sinking..." Well, I'd rather see a movie with the same name about a nuclear submarine.

I think it would be nice to see a Wheat Kings movie, explaining the situation to people. It would be pretty touching.

Which song off WC could be turned into a movie? I guess In View is the obvious answer, the music video could be the basis for such a film. I was thinking that Pretend has movie soundtrack written all over it, any song that elicits imagery of a lonely guy in a movie walking down a street with leaves blowing and a shot of said guy in a coffee shop with the camera zooming closer from the outside... But people seem to hate this song. I was listening to Chez 106 in Ottawa on the ride home today and the DJs played 2 new HIP songs back to back, Yer Not The Ocean and Pretend. One of the DJ's said it was brutasl, the ther loved it, they opened the phone lines and all the callers said they hated the song, a couple people made suicidal references eg. "I'm still looking for a dull knife." But I digress.

Can you imagine that some guy made a movie about emperor penguins and didn't put Emperor Penguin in the movie. I wonder if he knew about it/has found out about it since. Don't know what the Hip's fanbase is in France (i think it's originally a french film), but come on, he coudla googled "emperor penguin" at some point during the making of.
