Hey, and my original topic finally re-enters the spotlight. I must say, I have had an excellent time watching this thread. It is interesting how simple questions take on a life of their own and numerous feet get inserted into various mouths. Stu and Neil! When did the marriage go sour? I recall some shouting match a few months ago when you came to Neil's defence Stu! Anyway, cool thread. Less than a day til the ACC show!!

I've read this thread just now, first time in the last 24 hours, and I'm trying to figure out if one of us was in the wrong (or maybe somebody had one too many... beers or joints, take your pick, lol). As far as I can tell we're both right but we're not reading what the other posted.

I'm not holding a grudge or anything... and I doubt Neil is.

He knows the game. He's played it before. Smile

There's nobody I'd rather bump heads with. :thumb: :lol:

I've played this game, but I guess I went on a little too long because it's been a while since I took anything personally. I extrapolated details from Stu's posts and interpreted them in the larger context of attitudes I run into frequently. Although I don't feel I was wrong about the points I was actually making, it's true that neither of us was really only reading into the other's posts what was really there.

And for the record, I was at work all night, not high or drunk. Obviously there might just be something wrong with me if, when sober and stable, I communicate like a stoned drunk. :lol:

And grudges? Grudges are too much trouble to keep up. I'm far too lazy.

We have talked on numerous occasions and I know you somewhat well enough to tell you that you can be a 12... an 8... even a 6. It's incredibly simple once you get the hang of it. To say that someone can just be a size 6/8/ 10 whatever is misleading. It is especially true for women since we naturally carry more weight because of hormones and fertility. In reality, it is an especially difficult struggle for women. I wish it were just as simple as what you described it to be. Yes you are absolutely right in saying that it is the deficit of calories that burns fat/weight but please remember it is alot more complicated than that for alot of people.

By the way My Lord, You should not be eating whatever you want (grease, fat, etc) just because you can burn it all off. Regardless, you can still acquire plaque in the arteries, diabetes, etc from a bad diet.

PS As far as the original topic goes: I only wear comfortable clothes and shoes, I am as simple as simple gets. Pretty soon I will only be wearing scrubs and sneakers :jump

Damnit. I didn't even think of the possibility of it being a genetic-thing.... must've been some chapters I skipped or something... Heredity and Nutrition.... had to have been a Freudian thing.... :oops:
