Great Album!!!- I have an affinity for "better place to be" because it reminds me of home

my vote would be "hatesong" on Warszawa by Porcupine tree

- jay420 - 10-07-2004

Creeping Death - Metallica (there is just something about 20,000 people chanting "Die" together)
Master of Puppets - Metallica (another great sing-a-long song)
Grace, Too - The Hip

Mad props for remembering Chapin...his Heads & Tales album is one of my all-time favourites. Greyhound and Taxi and Radio are incredible songs.

led zep - nearly anything

whole lotta love from Song Remains the Same got me into jam bands.

Douglas Wrote:Right on Dannya2! Death Letter is amazing live. I think my favorite is Fought Piranha's. Did you check them out last summer in Vancouver? I drove from friggin Moose Jaw to see that show. Worth every mile.

Yes I did, that show blew me away

I grew up listeneing to Harry Chapin, Neil Diamond, Peter Paul & Mary with my dad...I got the chapin box set "Story of a life" a little while ago and it brings back some great memories. Too bad he died so tragically.

you know that feeling... a tingle that starts at the back of your neck, moves down your spine, and soon covers your whole body... no i'm not talking about having a stroke, i'm talking about the impact of music..

ive seen a number of big name acts in my relatively short concert career.. i think a lot the phenominality of the songs depends on the night you attend...

here is my ranking of the top 10 live songs that i've had the pleasure to experience at particular concerts... though this isnt a top 10 list of my favourite songs, its a ranking of the feeling i had from seeing them:

1. crush - dave matthews band
2. bobcaygeon - tragically hip
3. darling nikki - foo fighters
4. rush of blood to the head - coldplay
5. what you want to say - john butler trio
6. everything in its right place - radiohead
7. bullet the blue sky - u2
8. rosalita - gomez
9. otherside - red hot chili peppers
10. wipe that smile off your face - our lady peace

though a few may seem like odd choices, i have my reasons for all

- NMAS - 12-02-2005

NMAS- Po Black Maddie/skinny woman/po black maddie- off of live at Bonnaroo 2004.

Also DMB with Warren Haynes- Cortez the Killer off of live from central park.

I have a ton others but drawing a blank- Grace too, for sure by the Hip.

I fond Gord D's version of "when you dance I can really love" to be my fav love song right now.

I also really like "four strong winds" by neil young, don't know if it really counts as a love song, but "ill look for you if im ever back this way" hits home right now.
I guess Im on a bit of a neil young kick right now...

- fingernailsonhull - 12-09-2005

I've always thought Zeppelin's live version of No Quarter on The Song Remains The Same was particularly mind-blowing.

- joshwayy - 12-09-2005

Check out the live version of Xanadu in the rush R30 post...my favorite Rush song live...
