I saw a clip last night - Clement and Roenick. Is Roenick on all the time? That would be tough to stomach. I read on TSN.ca today that he suggested a solution to the impending lockout. My favourite part was this:

Guess what JR's salary is for 04/05? $7 million. What a clown.

I dont think Roenick is on all the time.......and thats a good thing cause it was painful to listen too. I like Roenick but he should think before he opens his mouth sometimes.

Roenick has passion for the game which I respect, but he doesn't think sometimes. He tries to be like Brett Hull, but Brett is much smarter.

i agree, i hated JR with a passion coming into last year, then aftyer his injury, his comeback, then the playoffs he had, i have to respect his detemination and love of the game

Lemiuex fulfills that role for me...in terms of respecting determination...after everything he's been through since he retired and came back, to see him fighting last night was positively inspiring. Even back during his peak, this was a guy who needed a map to find the penalty box!

Roenick is my least favourite NHLer too. Hate his attitude, hate his press clips.

I always hated him too, but I must say I gain a little respect for him last season. His apology to that ref he went off on during the All-Star game seemed really sincere and it's pretty obvious that the guy is tough as nails.

Yee haw! What a great start!

Surprisingly though, the Slovaks outshot us...not sure if the final tally was in their favour for the period, but they sure broke up our plays pretty well in the last half of the period. Luckily Brodeur's ready for whatever they can throw at him, like that thrilling one-two punch they gave him. Way to go Marty!

If the Canadians can just avoid losing momentum, this will all be wrapped up in a neat little package.

another one bites the dust...


nice to know we'll have HNIC this Saturday against Russia. can't wait to finally get a peak at the Russians tomorrow vs. the US in St. Paul, should be a great game. Finland's gonna hand Germany their ass tomorrow, poor Germany, oh well at least they get to play in the elimination round no matter what.

USA / Russia has been great so far, can't wait til Saturday, Finland vs. Sweden and Canada vs. Russia, oh man that's gonna be sweet.
