If we're winging it...

New EnglandNortheast (the "broad" version according to my friend in PA): ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY and DE, MD, PA & NJ, which are not "normally" New England but in this context would be Northeast.

Southeast: WVa, VA, NC, SC, GA, TN, KY

Gulf: FL, AB, MS, LA, TX.

West Coast: CA, OR, WA

Rocky Mtn/Southwest: MT, WY, ID, NV, UT, CO, AZ, NM (you decide what goes where)

Plains/Midwest (I'll be honest, I can't determine distinguish between them): ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, MN, IA, MO, AR, IL, WI, MI, IN, OH.

About a year ago we had a topic here about where everybody lived. You could type in your hometwon and it then would appear on a map, didn't matter which part of the world you were from. Perhaps we can bring that back?

Just a quick recommendation for Canada, how about this:

West (BC & Alberta)
Praries (Sask & Manitoba)
Ontario
Quebec
Maritimes

That's very cool. I like that. And if people don't like it, I suggest this to properly balance out the stats:

Kingston
GTA
Others in Ontario
Others in Canada
Others in NA
Others on Earth

Actually, I'd probably throw the NY and Michigan in there too for Buffalo and Detroit... but no more!

Change Maritimes to "Atlantic Canada," and add "The North" and you've got a winner.

How this for a winner? - thipfan73 - 08-06-2004

This is MUCH easier, though don't all go over at once my allocation of transfer will make them shut the site down for like an hour.
