For me what makes LBU so amazing is that it's pretty much uncut. Most live albums are edited, if not spliced together from many shows, if not mixed with studio performances like stupid Kiss. LBU is ONE show.
However I will say I have listened to hundreds of Hip bootlegs from all eras and I would say that show, although a standout, is not atypical in terms of performance. The truth is that the band are just killers live, and always have been.
As a follow up to this, I'm listening to Live from the Vault 6 today (Cleveland 1996) and it's a great companion piece to LBU. Pretty similar setlists but different enough that it's worth a listen. Kind of like a bizarro LBU. About half of Phantom Power is previewed in the 100th jam, not to mention a fair bit of Coke Machine Glow material.
I'd probably buy a bunch more shows from the mid to late 90s tours if they were available.

I agree 100%. I wish I could listen to that whole show, too. It ended with Little Bones and Locked which are my two favourite songs ever. And they played Escape (pre-release) which is my third favourite!

I do somewhere in my files. Pretty sure I downloaded it from one of the Hip boots sites. Know it was a MP3. It is excellent to hear the full show with all songs included. One of my favourites.

The variable on the shows is always Downie... The other four are remarkably consistent.
Amazing they can have such a huge catalogue - love them forever.
I had a crazy weird dream about them last night and then woke up to this Eishockey Hits thing, and was trying to decide if I was still asleep
