What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you the absolute authority on absolutely everything? I disagree with your comment that the re-release doesn't sound like the versions on Yer Faves. Apparently that got your panties in a knot. Was there a memo sent out with a ruling that no one can have a different opinion than yours???
[quote="opiated49"]I don't think it sounds like Yer Faves at all. Those were remixed these are remastered. Big dif[a/quote]
As to what was done - I don't care. To me the end results sound similar.

To throw my two cents in......
I think the remaster doesn't sound like the Yer Faves versions, at least for a few songs. Off the top of my head, Looking sounds different, and Fully. The others are close, but I'm sure if I listened back to back with headphones on, I could tell the difference. In the book it's even mentioned that the Yer Faves versions were remixed to be "drier"..... seems to be a good way to put it.
As for Remaster vs. Original...... as mentioned before, the remaster sounds louder..... just the way records go these days. I think there is a bit more detail, you hear a few more parts that were way back in the mix, but probably because new remastering techniques are better at taking out any hiss and sounds from analog masters...... Or maybe the increased volume makes quiet parts louder.
I love the book, it's neat to hear memories of the recording from beginning to end. You even see the budget for the original recording sessions! I wonder how much it costs to make a record these days.......
As a hip fan, I think the $45 is worth it for the book, lithos, two cds of music and the trip down memory lane for Heksenketel. Now, if for some reason Fully wasn't one of your favourite albums, then you're probably better off saving your money.
And I agree with what was said before, remastered sets of UTH and Road Apples would be killer!

I just listened to them all once again back to back. How anybody could say they sound the same is beyond me. You either have terrible speakers, bad hearing or you're lying. For those who haven't heard the new release...rhey sound NOTHING like the Yer Faves versions.

Definitely a little bummed that the Vinyl version download card is only for the two tracks.
They could have / should have made the Horseshoe show, or at least the album, available for download with the vinyl purchase.
$135 tix x 2 + $30 vinyl, and I'm expected to drop more cash to have a digital version and hear the Horseshoe show? I'm usually one of the very last people to get frustrated here, but this time I am slapping my forehead.
Anybody willing to help me out with the digital versions? Would be forever grateful! Pm me plz!
