ahmm Wrote:emperor penguin Wrote:ahmm Wrote:Plants and Animals - another great Canadian group - came out with a new album at the end of February called "The End of That".
I highly recommend checking it out. :thumb:
This album is really good, and in the same CanRock genre, Yukon Blonde just released their second album called Tiger Talk. It is really good. If you like Plants and Animals and Sam Roberts you will like this album.
Thanks for the great recommendation! I hadn't heard Yukon Blonde before and am loving it.
Tiger Talk is only $7.99 on itunes.
Glad to hear it! I'm seeing them tomorrow night and can't wait. They're incredible live. If you're just getting into them listen to their first album too, self titled. It's also excellent!

The new Fiona Apple album finally comes out on June 19th. It's only been 7 years since her last record. Has she been getting career advice from Axl Rose maybe? You can listen to the first single here:

Blunderbuss is solid — also boasts a little Tragically Hip synchronicity with Jack White titling one of his songs "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy".
Great album.
