BrenTheodore Wrote:I am looking for a movie (I thought there was a preview for it originally in this topic) that I thought I originally read about somewhere in the forum.
It was about a man down on his luck... i think a gambling debt, and he owed money to this other guy, who now was going to kill him after giving him one more afternoon to live.
I think it was at some of the Canadian Film Festivals this past year (I believe it was a 2008 flick). It seemed to be a pretty good movie, and was getting a lot of attention.. but I guess not enough for me to remember the name.
If anyone remembers what this is, it would be pretty great!
I think you're looking for "Real Time" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0983909/

Its about a man down on his luck, so he takes to the streets shaking a banana, trying to convince them that it's making a sound?

Great movie. Hell of an ending. Only 1:17 however.
Setting was amazing; very typical Canadian small town.
Plus Scared was used for the credits.

When I first heard they were coming out with "where the wild things are" I thought "Why in the hell would you need a movie of that!?" After seeing that clip I'm a convert

That Arcade Fire song in the background sounds like it could be a Gord Downie solo song that segues into a WATS song.
