he played great...but not better than luongo...turco for most of the games had a clear view on every shot, there was little to no traffic in front of him whatsoever, and the shot totals were heavily slanted for Dallas

Turco played great, no doubt. But, the coronation needs to cease.. players don't become legends if they're sitting at home during the 2nd round...

so i simulated a season on my xbox with NHL '07 as the Sens and just finished beating out the Habs in the first round. oddly enough the Eastern Conference round 2 match-ups are as follows.....
Sabres vs. Rangers
Sens vs. Devils

Opiated, no offense, but stop being a homer. I said no goalie played better than Turco, and that's true. Luongo was certainly no better than Turco. Maybe they were equal but Luongo played no better. Luongo in no way outplayed Turco, which is what you're implying.

Luongo outplayed Turco..plain and simple..he faced MORE shots, HARDER shots, had to deal with MORE traffic in front of him, and made BIGGER saves at BIGGER times, none bigger than the save off of Barnes in the 3rd period of game 7..not being a homer..just presenting the facts...Turco had 3 fairly easy shutouts to be honest with you

Gotta agree with Tiger on this one, There's no way Luongo outplayed Turco. Turco had a better GAA and save percentage (not by much though), and as for who Luongo facing more shots, he faced only slightly more (240 to 229 over the seven games). I watched most of the series, and as an impartial viewer I'd say they both played equally well.

we'll agree to disagree...as long as the nucks win, i don't care who outplays who

The Sabres are going to be tough, they are, well as the sign said "these guys are good, scary good!". The Rangers are going to have to be WAY better defensively if they are to contain the Sabres & try slow them down. They were flying, the building was electric, and Ryan Miller played great.

Good game by the Sabres, I wish Connelly had scored that goal after he put on those moves, that was sweet. That Avery is a moron, he did his team more harm than good last nite. Its one thing to be a pest another to be a moron.

So....uh....Kelly Hrudey told Ron Maclean last night that he doesn't think of the Canucks as underdogs against the Ducks. I'm starting to think Kelly says these things just for shock value. :rambo:

Yeah I agree, I hope he doesn't come back. 18 goals and 47 points for $4.5 million??? thats ridiculous. Maybe he would be treated better by the media if he stopped being such a fucking baby and made an effort to earn what he was getting payed. And you're right, Samsanov and Niinimaa can go too
