Go ice man! your a machine!

Liddell is good but he'd only be the third or fourth best LHW if he fought in Pride.

Dont follow pride as much. Who are the guys who would beat him?

I was a little harsh. He could beat any of them I suppose but he wouldn't be the undisputed king like he is in the UFC. Chuck is one of the top LHW's in the world but there are three or four guys I could see beating him and it wouldn't surprise me.

-Crocop fights at HW but I think he could get down to 205 if he had to and he would beat Liddell. BUT, Crocop is fighting at HW now so I can't really include him. Crocop would murder Sylvia btw.

-Vanderlei Silva would be a good test but I think Liddell would beat him. Silva fought Crocop recently at HW and Crocop murdered Silva. I don't know how much Silva has left. He has great striking but he is vulnerable to being taken down. Of course, Chuck basically uses punches and kicks so Silva/Liddell would be a standup fight that either guy could win.

-Rampage Jackson already beat down Chuck but Rampage isn't with Pride anymore. Matter of fact, I think he's with the UFC now that Dana White bought out a few fighting orgs.

-Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, I think would have a great shot at beating Chuck.

-I think Nogueira would have a good shot. Shogun and Nog both have good standup and I think have the skills to defeat Chuck.

-I actually won't be surprised if Tito beats Chuck. I have Chuck as the favourite but if the fights gets into the 3rd, 4rd round, I can see Tito's cardio giving him the edge. For Ortiz to win, I think he has to use leg kicks to weaken Chuck and make him easier to take down in the later rounds. Of course, this will be difficult as it's not easy to avoid heavy punches from Liddell for that long. Ortiz cannot take Chuck down just by pure, straight ahead shoots. He has to set up his takedowns, like Randy did against Chuck. Since Ortiz's standup is good but not great, leg kicks will throw Chuck off guard a little. Tito has to fake a kick or punch or something on Chuck to get him down, unless Chuck just wears out in the later rounds.

Yeah, he lost to Belfort too. That was when he fought in the UFC and he has become a MUCH BETTER FIGHTER since then.

Looks like Cro Cop is coming to the UFC. He would immediately be the favourite to beat any current UFC champ IMO.

Reigning PRIDE Open-Weight Grand Prix champion Mirko Filipovic (Pictures) has apparently decided to bolster the ranks of the UFC heavyweight division, a source inside the Croatian's camp informed Sherdog.com Wednesday.

Rumors have buzzed of Filipovic's departure from PRIDE since his official Web site reported in recent days that he would not fight on the Japanese promoter's year-end card.

Filipovic, the No. 2 heavyweight in the world behind PRIDE champion Fedor Emelianenko (Pictures), would make an immediate impact on a division that has long been considered among the weakest in the UFC. Terms are not known, but it's expected Fillipovic, 32, could sign one of the most expensive multi-fight deals in UFC history.

A former K-1 star, "Cro Cop" moved from kickboxing to mixed martial arts in 2001, and has since amassed in impressive 21-4-2 record. His biggest accomplishment in MMA occurred just last September, when the Fighter of the Year candidate stopped Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) and Josh Barnett (Pictures) on the same night to capture PRIDE's Grand Prix crown.

It was believed tournament victory would secure Filipovic a second crack at Emelianenko, whom the Croatian lost to by decision in epic August 2005 clash.

Filipovic's four losses have come against Emelianenko, former K-1 World Grand Prix champion Mark Hunt (Pictures), a shocking knockout against former UFC heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman (Pictures) and by submission in a classic battle against former PRIDE heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Pictures).

"Cro Cop" is renowned for his striking skills, which features a devastating left high kick that is responsible for highlight-reel victories against the likes of Silva, Igor Vovchanchyn (Pictures) and Aleksander Emelianenko (Pictures).

The super-striker would immediately vault to the top of the contender list for Tim Sylvia (Pictures)'s UFC heavyweight belt, should the "Maine-iac," who is currently renegotiating his contract with the Las Vegas-based promoter, remain with the organization.

There has been some discussion inside the UFC that "Cro Cop," who was not under contract to PRIDE, would make his cage-fighting debut versus Jake O'Brien (Pictures), a young, undefeated fighter whose strength is on the mat.

UFC 66 last night, what a great night of fights. Every fight was entertaining. Lidell once again proved why he's the champion in impressive fashion over Ortiz. Who needs a ground game when no one can take you down? I thought it was over for sure in the first round when Lidell was pummeling Tito, but I'm glad it continued cause the rest of the fight was amazing. Cant wait to see Chuck and Rampage Jackson fight again. And I'm glad to see Mirko CroCop coming to the UFC, he might be the next heavyweight champion.

yeah, it's fun to watch a full card and not a single match goes the distance

and the next ufc card looks like it'll be another good one too

Tough loss for Forrest. I like him but you had to know that someone was getting knocked out in that one. Good to see that kid from Edmonton win again. 2 impressive wins but it must almost be time for Lieben to hang em up. Liddell is just a machine.

Leben hang em up? He lost to the best 185 pounder in the UFC and then last night to Macdonald. I don't think it's quite time for him to retire. He's still young. He's a decent fighter but he'll never be UFC champion. You could tell he was destined to be a gatekeeper from the start anyway. Good for Macdonald! He took out Leben and Herman. He's in good standing with the UFC. He's not quite at the level of fighting for a title but he's just below that level. Maybe they'll put him in with someone like Swick or Grove next.

I didn't catch the action but heard that Jardine KO'd Forrest in impressive fashion. I don't consider that an upset at all. Jardine is stronger and Forrest is very sloppy in his striking. What did Forrest do after the fight? I read that he showed no class after the fight and ran out of the ring.

I heard that Alves looked really good.

Was the Tito/Chuck stoppage fine? Was Tito blocking the flurry that ended the fight?

emperor penguin, I don't see any way that Crocop won't be UFC champ soon. Who can beat him at HW? Sylvia? Not a chance. Vera? If he gets by Sylvia he would have a chance but not a great one. Arlovski? One good punch or kick from Crocop would end his night.

Shit......looks like GSP isn't gonna be fighting Serra next month, I wonder what this does to the (potential) Montreal card??

The event is still a go. Silva will defend his 185 pound title, Cro Cop and Rampage will make their UFC debuts. I'm not sure if Serra will fight someone else or not though.

No, I'm not talking about this upcoming card, I'm talking about the one that should be coming to Montreal in April.

It was speculated that Hughes/GSP 2 would take place (if GSP beat Serra)but I'm wondering what will happen now? GSP/Serra in Montreal? I don't think I'd pay to see THAT fight live....
