as for the world container I don't think the World Bank is as much a reference as it's a very similar logo but the whole part about trying to contain the world sounds good

The music on that song (especially the guitars) absolutely rock. But I always thought the lyrics were awful, and it kind of ruined the song for me.

the lyrics are sweet though...especially "let's turn the music to a happy cat, he likes his butterflies, slow and fat..."
i dunno, that's only my opinion, but i'm stuck scratching my head as to how anyone could think it's "the worst thing they've ever done in their career"...what about the album cover of the EP :lol:?

Wow... I realize that everyone's entitled to their opinion, but relax. It's really not that big of a deal. It's just a song. It's just music. There have been much worse things sung about a good ol' fashion circle jerk.

Of course it isn't a big deal. It's only music. Last time I checked this was a message board about five people who make their living playing music. In the overall scheme of things The Hip aren't that big of a deal either but I still like listening to them play music and I have the odd discussion about them.
I can't recall off the top of my head another circle jerk song that I've heard so I have nothing to compare it to. Any song about a circle jerk is just wrong IMO.
Trust me when I say that I was thinking about the songs on the EP and everything about that cd when I was writing that "Coconut Cream" was the worst thing The Hip have done. I think it is a tad below even the rudimentary songs on the debut ep.
The cover? Maybe you have a point there. TATH is still a great cd though.
