yeah you're right...guess everyone's an expert and in the know ( and the guy i was talking to was on the back end of a case of beer) ...will wait a few weeks to see - announcement and ticket sales for whoever is booked ( at least the headliners) should be early may

Im from Stratford and I have been hearing this for months, I think that it would be amazing if the hip came to town, Last year I walked down to the ovation festival from my house and saw our lady peace for free. I could hear the whole concert from my backyard. If they come to town I will be the first one there with a smile on!

I have been checking the Standing Ovation forums and there is nothing that has been confirmed yet. I am not surprised. I work at the Beacon Herald (local newspaper) so I will be first to hear when they officially announce the bands for 2006. I hope this years lineup is a little cooler. Oh well I have my tickets for the HIP at fort york on june 24th, thats all I know, its sure to be a great show.

thanks mandy...but there will likely be bits of info released on those forum pages a couple of days before you see it at the beacon-there are probably already some clues there cleverly hidden if i know chris - what department are you in ? say hi to john k....my baseball coach many many many many years ago...does he still chew tobacco - ugh ? did i say it was a few years ago lol ?

lizard king, you will find out this week i think....mebbe some holdups with permits etc. , but headliners should be known before mid may at least...cuz i think thats when tickets go on sale

"You are fortunate to get tickets to Guelph, as it sold out in less than 10 minutes and their two Fort York shows sold out in 32 minutes back in February (their Artpark show in Lewsiton, NY is also sold out - less than an hour). They are an amazing band for sure . . . it would be great to have them in Stratford some day."
that was today...what a tease...now how do you suppose he would know so much about how quicky recent shows sold out, unless he was very very very interested ?

:jump ok it looks very good for stratford ! promoter is sneaky and dropping hints until some fine details worked out...but i've followed his forums and heard enuf second hand that i'm sure of it ! I will be in v.i.p. section...if i see hipbase t shirts, I'll buy you all a beer ! hmmm...maybe i'd better see how many of those shirts lance has sold before making too big a commitment 8)
