I doubt June. It is already April and we haven't heard a peep as to whether the album is finished or not. The Hip are usually pretty good at sending us emails like "hey, we just finished up recording and are in the mixing stage. The album is scheduled to release..." June is only 2 months away and that is not enough time in "record label years" to get an album out.
Just my 0.02 though!

VC was only released the Saturday before (during HNIC) IBE came out so I think that there is still plenty of time for a June release.
It would seem odd to me for a record label to spend the $$$ and resources required to put on the shows that they've already announced unless a release was imminent.

I'd have to agree with you on that one. You'd think there would at the very least be singles on the airwaves before they started playing these summer shows....

I don't disagree that there will be a single on the radio by the time June hits. I am more thinking of what PJ did in that they will probably play some shows this summer and throw in 1 or 2 new songs and then have a September release with a US/CAN tour for the fall/winter.
....of course I really REALLY want to be wrong!

They aren't playing a lot of summer shows, though. It's not a heavy touring schedule.
So I'd be inclined to think late summer.

At this point, I'm hoping for an early to mid summer release. I really don't want to have to wait until August or September. Also, if the album is out in June than there will be more touring in the summer months, when I have a bit more flexibility. So...here's to an earlier release for purely selfish reasons!

Thanks so Much Chris, your a class act. I have taking some heat for my jokes lately. I have always played that role in life. It feels like if someone else said the exact same thing as I did, it would not be taken as offensive.
I won't be telling any more "jokes" for a while. I see that there isn't a place for them.
