Even though she is extremely talented, it was quite evident that INXS was not the best fit for her. My bet is you'll see her resurface somewhere soon. There are still some crappy performers left in there...but damn there sure are some great ones!!

I can't believe how much better this show is than American or dare I even mention it...Canadian Idol. Too bad it's receiving such crappy ratings.

Yeah it is a lot better, but remember that these guys are all pretty much professional singers.

I think Mig JD and Marty are the front runners at this point, I just can't see a woman winning it even though they may be the best singers in the comp. Jordis is amazing.

Jordis has one of the most moving voices I've ever heard...really mind blowing how good she is.

On the news this morning, it was announced that CBS has "cancelled" this show, and it will only be broadcast on VH1 in the US. Global/CH will still air it in Canada.

The budget for the show was $50 million US, and the ratings are lower for it than reruns of Two and a Half Men.

that's too bad...it is what it is and has some reality cheese to it, but beneath that, there are REAL singers with genuine talent...weird that it would falter and the Idol shows would thrive...such is TV now I guess

I don't see why this show is floundering so much, but I think there are a number things that could be causing it- The judges (Navarro & the "Super Group INEXCESS") are too nice, probably because the singers are so good. Idol is popular because the simon bashes the singers and there is a broader range of music genres like country, rock, etc...

I think the behind the scenes stuff could've delved deeper into the singers past and explore their quest for becoming a rock star. To quote one of my favorite movies about why one would want to become a rock star..."the chicks are great."

I am not sure it is "cancelled".
I think just the behind the scenes Monday version has been dropped and moved to VH1.

Hopefully that is the case...the Monday show was boring anyways. I love the show itself but always thought the Monday episode was pointless.

I don't see any difference between the IDOL franchise and this INXS thing. People are entering a singing contest to be the lead singer of a band. Whatever happened to letting things happen naturally within a band? Why do INXS have to hold a national audition and have some rockstar wannabe as their lead singer? Why do INXS even have to go on? They're about 80 years old anyway. Are that that low on money? I never liked them anyway but that's just me personally. I hope the show gets cancelled. It's every bit as fake and the emotion the singers try to convey is every bit as fake as CI or AI. I just can't get over this idea of holding a glorified karaoke contest. It goes against everything good about music.

you've obviously never seen the show then...it's far more than karaoke...the band they play with is amazing, and the singers have a lot of talent....

I have watched the show a few times. The band is good. Technically it's not karaoke because there is a live band but ya know.... The singers have GOOD VOICES! Don't confuse a GOOD SINGING VOICE with TALENT>

Seriously, how could you respect Gord Downie as much if before he began in the Hip he went on tv and won an audition and got his contract that way????? You should earn your stripes.

so a singer who wants her voice to be heard, should not jump at an opportunity like this?? jordis has a shit-load of talent..as do a few of them..i'm not a huge INXS fan either...and i think that jordis won't win, but go on to bigger, better things...and as for me thinking her version of man who sold the world is better than nirvanas...i stand by that

No, it's a smart move for the singers to be on the show. I just don't respect them as REAL ARTISTS. You can't criticize AI and praise this show then!!! IT IS THE SAME! Singers entering a singing contest!!

If the girl down the road from me had a GREAT singing voice and sang a pitch perfect version of "Man who sold the world", I wouldn't say she did a better version than Bowie or Nirvana. Even if technically, her voice was better. I just find more substance in Bowie and Nirvana than a random girl on tv singing. That's my personal opinion.
