I heard about that but didn't think anything of it, all golfers do that, maybe not Steve Jones but most, Tiger is under the microscope all the time so all his little quifs get caught on tape, its not his fault think he does a pretty good job restraining himself. He gets asked a lot of stupid questions from the media.

I was surprised he tore up the green, but hey its the US Open, the man was blowing off some steam, big deal. I remember Davis Love III smashing a sprinkler head open and flooding a part of one of the greens a couple years ago, everybody has their brief moment of dumbness, I doubt he'd do it again. Tiger's still the best golfer on the planet [imo] and I hope he tears it up for the next decade, I love watching him dominate.

i just think he could have said sorry for it...the greats from the past, jack, arnie..wouldn't do a thing like that, and they sure wouldn't swear on live t.v.

I don't have a problem with Tiger cursing. I don't neccessarily agree with it but at least he is genuine. This false image people have of Palmer and Nicklaus is laughable. People think they are perfect, flawless human beings. They could just hide their anger better, that's all. Tiger has as much class as Arnie and Jack IMO.

I was glad to see Campbell win it... it's fun to see the underdogs carry the day in golf. Tiger is great, but I disagree with people who think his dominance is a good thing for golf. I guess I just like to see other people win once in a while.

And say what you will about Retief Goosen's charisma (in the negative numbers, if such a thing is possible?), but he's got a ton of class. When asked about his "collapse", he said something like " I'm disappointed, but it's OK, no one died. I had a great Father's Day with the kids, and family's more important than golf."

I've just gained a ton of respect for Mr. Goosen.
