Yeah Gord is crazy, but that's why I like him so much and all the true hip fans do to. I love how his rants tell you a different story evertime you listen to one. I know I have sat down and just listened to the hip and totally forgot where I was. Also everytime I go to a show I go away full of new Gordisms in my head and then wanting more. That's when you know you have a great band!

Go Hip!

My friend came with us to see the band in Orlando last fall. It was her first Hip show. She's not a Hip fan, but knows all about them from me. She thought Gord was off his rocker. She got a kick how he was - in her own quote - "thinking he was a stripper dancing with the mic stand". She mentioned, however, she doesn't think he interacts with the audience very well, that he looks among the crowd, but almost like his eyes are glazed over and he's really not seeing anyone. Interesting analogy there.
In any event, I think Gord's just a unique individual, and God love him for being part of the best band in the world!!

cos he's fried out of his gord (no pun intended  ).
We saw them at Shayne park in Detroit probably around '92. We were right up front...my first hip show... and he was triiiiiip-piiiiin'. Perma grin, eyes rolling to back of his head...doin' his little "i'm a menatal-case" dance with his hands out like he does. I wasn't a big Hip fan, it was just something to do on a saturday night, but at the time I remember we were seriously impressed with his off-the-wallness 8) .
He's definitely mellowed since then, but haven't we all?

what's wrong with a little crazy??? most genius are...
I've only seen one concert live and some others on dvd... and I was amazed by his performence... So full life, so totally obsessed by the music... I felt like being in heaven and hell on the same time...
