a few lines from 2 movies stand out...from almost famous:
1.Ah, it's ok. I'm easy to forget. Just leave me behind. I'm only the f*cking lead singer!"
2.Penny Lane: "How old are you?"
William: "18"
Penny Lane: "How old are we really?"
William: "17"
Penny Lane: "Me too!"
William: "Actually, I'm 16"
Penny Lane: "Me too. Isn't it funny? The truth just sounds different"
William: "I'm 15"
3.William: "I'm glad you were home."
Lester: "I'm always home. I'm uncool."
4.The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool."
and from high fidelity
1.The making of a great compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do and takes longer than it might seem. You gotta kick off with a killer, to grab attention. Then you got to take it up a notch, but you don't wanna blow your wad, so then you got to cool it down a tad. There are a lot of rules. Anyway... I've started to make a tape... in my head... for Laura. Full of stuff she likes. Full of stuff that'll make her happy. For the first time I can sort of see how that's done.
2. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
3.Rob: Liking both Marvin Gaye and Art Garfunkel is like supporting both the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Laura: No, it's really not, Rob. You know why? Because Marvin Gaye and Art Garfunkel make pop records.
Rob: Made. Made. Marvin Gaye is dead. His father shot him.

I always liked this exchange from The Fugitive, for some reason:
Kimble: "I didn't kill my wife!"
Gerard: "I don't care!"

highlander Wrote:"We have to get this man to a hospital" - "What is it?" - "It's a big building with lots of windows but that's not important right now" - Airport 77
"Surely you can't be serious" - "I am serious and don't call me Shirley" - Airport 77
and of course...
"There can be only one" - Highlander
High
Actually those quotes are from the movie Airplane. Airport 77 is the flick that they were spoofing. Here's some more of my favorites from that movie:
doctor: "what did everybody have for dinner tonight?"
stewardess: "Well, we had a choice, Chicken or fish."
doctor: "Yes, yes, I remember. I had lasagne."
little boy: "excuse me, I was just passing by and I thought you might like some coffee."
little girl: "that would be nice, thank you."
little boy: "cream?"
little girl: "no thank you, I take it black. Like my men."
stewardess: "we need your help, there's trouble in the cockpit."
ted striker: "the cockpit? what is it?"
stewardess: "it's the little room at the front of the plane where the pilot sits, but that's not important right now."

some more of my favorites:
"There was nothing wrong with my name until I was about 13-years old and that no talent assclown became famous and started winning grammys."
-Michael Bolton in Office Space
"Insensitive?? How can you call me insensitive after I had that 1000 acres of Brazilian rainforest slashed and burned so we could build our dream home. You think it's easy displacing an entire tribe? You try it sometime!"
-Frank Drebbin, The Naked Gun 2 1/2
"I guess it all comes down to one thing. Get busy livin, or get busy dyin."

A few from Pulp.....
There's a passage I got memorized,
seems appropriate for this
situation: Ezekiel 25:17. "The path
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children. And I will
strike down upon thee with great
vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy
my brothers. And you will know my
name is the Lord when I lay my
vengeance upon you."
I think you're gonna find -- when
all this shit is over and done -- I
think you're gonna find yourself
one smilin' motherfucker. Thing is
Butch, right now you got ability.
But painful as it may be, ability
don't last. Now that's a hard
motherfuckin' fact of life, but
it's a fact of life your ass is
gonna hafta git realistic about.
This business is filled to the brim
with unrealistic motherfuckers who
thought their ass aged like wine.
Besides, even if you went all the
way, what would you be? Feather-
weight champion of the world. Who
gives a shit? I doubt you can even
get a credit card based on that.
Am I a nigger? Are you in
Inglewood? No. You're in my
house. White people who know the
difference between good shit and
bad shit, this is the house they
come to. My shit, I'll take the
Pepsi Challenge with Amsterdam shit
any ol' day of the fuckin' week

I thought Sin City was awesome for one liners. Mickey Rourke had some doozies.
"I love about hitmen. No matter what you do to them, you don't feel bad."
"I gottcha ya little bastard! Let's see ya hop around now."
-This one is great although I don't know if I got it exactly right.
"Whew, gotta admit I'm bushed. No so much from our little fight. It's from all that sawin' and tyin', not as easy as it looks. Would have been a whole lot messier, if I didn't have those hoses for turnicates. I did let it squirt a little though, to get the smell in the air so your little friend would come runnin'."(calls dog).
You gotta see that movie.
