Lower auto insurance premiums.

I think that's about it.

Once you hit 65 you get senior's discounts at certain places. I still have like 44 years to go.

You get to use words like "whippersnapper."

You get to sit around bitching about where hair is and isn't growing, and what colour said hair is, and what is acting up.

You get to pretend that you know everything by virtue of your advanced age, and participate in the fallacy that age brings wisdom rather than advancing senility and intellectual rigidity.

You get to say things like, "back in my day," or "when I were a lad," or "you kids have it easy," or "when you get to my age."

So look on the bright side, young whippersnapper. When I was your age, I looked forward to getting old. When you get to my age, you'll understand.

See? Great fun.

I think your getting old when everytime you bend down to pick up something, even a penny for instance, you make a noise, like uuugh, or oooh.  25 and your already worrying, Id hate to see you at 50 when that mid-life crisis kicks in, it aint gonna be pretty Tongue

Yeah, you become wiser

Happy belated Bday Stephen Big Grin

BTW, nose hairs are called 'guard hairs or vibrissae' They guard your nostrils and prevent foreign particles from entering too easily. Don't go too crazy on clipping them, only the ones that stray outside. They are there for a reason, old man

I am 26 and my shoulders are getting hairy. I also have to shave my neck every 2 weeks. I have seen my Dad and my Grandpa with no shirts on. I am in big trouble. I better trick some poor sucker into marrying me quick.

hehe I don't even want to go into what my back looks like. Tongue Me thinks my hair situation is God's version of irony..."sure you pray every day for more hair but you failed to specify where exactly you wanted more to grow!"

Then why do the short, virtually unnoticeable hairs that seemingly performed their task so well all our young lives suddenly need reinforcements by our late twenties? Those little blond "peach fuzz" nose hairs never in 27 years let any big ol' dirt clods worm their way into my brain (I don't think), so why must these jet-black elevator-cable types that grow an inch an hour (two feet a day) be thrown into the mix?

When I first noticed I was developing these monstrosities, I thought there was a black widow hiding up there or something

My ex-husband had SO much chest and back hair! UGH! He had me shave it for him.

The guy I'm with now barely has any chest hair, he'll be 39 on St Pat's day, and his nosehairs most definitely make themselves known.

Whats up with chest hair anyways, are you ladies diggin it or what? Is the Tom Selleck look in or is it gross??

for me it can be pretty sexy if it's not too much in excess, on the other hand, it is annoying when you rest your head on a guy's chest and it tickles your nose.

I am just starting to thin very slightly in the front, but the amount of nose hair I clip, and the fact that I have to shave my traps every month makes up for it.

Guard hair eh Jen? Smile Well, Beavers have guard hair, and they're nobel, industrous lil fellers... so I guess I can take solice in that.

As for shoulder hair, one of my favourite Simpsons moments (...God knows why) is Homer standing in front of the mirror, shirt off, shaving cream everywhere, singing: "I'm shaving my shoulders"

So I guess Beavers and Homer aint bad company.
