Neil and I can cover Halifax MC either through Sobeys or the MC boxoffice. I've got the cash for enough tickets for us all. So 6 tickets in total? Neil, myself, Jamie, Jamie's GF, Rory and your fiancee (Tammy?)

That sounds good...I say we hit the Sobeys. I don't have a credit card so I can't use the presale online, but I didn't want to anyway.
Can somebody hazard a guess - shows, gas, whatever else - what the total might be? Divided by six it won't be harsh but I would just like to know since I've never road-tripped a concert before. Also, I assume we're not staying in Sydney, right? Will we leave Halifax on the 4th, hit the show, and come back to Halifax overnight and sleep during the day and hit the show that night?

Well, the original plan with Jamie and I for Sydney, was to stay overnight of the 4th, and head back to Halifax in the morning. A hotel room with 2 beds in Sydney runs about $80-$90. So, I'd suggest you guys checking out rooms. Gas shouldn't be too much of a bother. We should be able to make it to Sydney on one tank of gas. And my fiancee's name is Brandy

Good to know...this all sounds fine! It helps to be going with people who've done it before. I guess I'll let you guys hammer out the finer points and then I'll just hope I get time off work. It's too bad the 4th-5th is a weekend because I usually work 36 hours on a weekend...hopefully I can skip out, and nothing financially pressing comes up so I can give those shifts up without worrying about it.

Tickets will probably be $45 each (estimate) and a room split would be $45 (each). So $150 for the 2 shows and a night in the hotel. Plus whatever drinks/food you want or Hip merch. Better make it $200. hehe.
I can do the onlineor phone for the Metro Centre tickets. Lots of options available to us. Just have to find out the date they go on sale. I'm stoked.

I'd love to take in the 2 shows but it seems difficult. I have a few friends who may want to take in the Halifax show too. I guess I could try to make the Sydney show and then come back to Halifax and hook up with some buddies but I'm not sure how it's going to work out.
Anyway, I don't want to mess up the plans you guys have set.

Hey guys, I live in sydney and when I ask around noone gives me a strait answer on when tickets go on sale, I saw you guys got october second, anyone know this for sure or when they go on sale....and also I doubt there will be a pre-sale...there is never one for sydney, and if there was the first ten rows were usually reserved for the public who camp out over night lol, which will probly be me...hope i'm of some help.

Hey Halifax metro center and st john harbour station both have tickets on sale this saturday at 9am...so i'm guessing it will be the same for sydney...i should call my uncle he works at the center, but last two times i called he wasn't in...but yeah that might help...

OK, so what's the plan? I'll get the tickets for all of us for the Sydney show online on Saturday morning. Can one of you guys waiting in line pick up four for Jamie and I? Also, I've reserved the hotel room in Sydney for the 4th, and you're all more than welcome to grab some space in the room to bunk. It'll save you some $$. Let me know!

I'll probably hit the Clayton Park Sobeys for tickets with Neil. I can get us the tickets for the Hfx show if you want to get the tix for Sydney Rory. So 6 tickets for all of us? Rory, Brandi, Jamie, Jamie's gf, Neil and myself. $50 for each ticket. $300 cha-ching!
Do we want floor regardless of where? Lower bowl to the side?
Neil, we should meet up at the CP Sobeys. Should make it early too so we can get first in line

Uh...I think I'm gonna bail on Sydney. I am in university and I only work Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I've worked it out and, with the trip expenses factored in, I can't afford to miss 2 out of 3 shifts in a week. I was kinda hoping to do it, and if this was a club or theatre tour I would probably sell a kidney to seem them in both cities, but I've seen them in stadiums several times and quite frankly I can't justify spending the money and losing my shifts just to see them in the same type of venue once again...
