And "the blind feed the blind" stuff after it is just as good. "Leave" was part of the poetry ciriculum at the UofT's English program last year... thanks to me... sorta

Gosh, the line that gets me in 'Leave' is 'change yourself into something you love, when you leave.' I think that's great.

Not to change this from a "Moments in songs that grab you" thread to an "Appreciation for Leave" thread, but isn't it crazy that some people just can't get into that song or rank it as a low point on IVL?

You picked some great ones there, TDC....also LOVE that segment of Leave (forgot who posted it, but a good call), especially "blind leads the blind, whisperin' things like, 'on the money' and 'bullseye'"
Some of my personal faves are the vocal cresendo in Sharks - "steal a look over your shoulder, at the distant lights of your firmament".....
and

and

And Paul repeats "Embarassed ... I've had (Gordie sings "en-Doors") ... slammed in my face"
I thought it was pretty clever back in the day.
