HAHAha, that is so funny. Man, what square wrote that.

very flat show, it didn't seem that way when we were there, however, you could tell hardcore fans, and occassionaly the band were not into it, due to commercials, and questions, which caused them to lose their groove. But the saving grace (if you will) a killer version of nois, I know we hear it every show, but that was a solid one.

Heh yeah I also noticed by grace too they sounded completely exhausted, but the Ottawa concert made up for it.

I had actually listened to most of this on chez(radio station). And noticed he didn't have the greatest range at all, staying on one note for the whole verse and such. But watching it again was good. I got to appreatciate the newer stuff more now that I'm familliar with it.

And quality didn't seem the greatest either.

I must be getting complacent, because I thought it was good, particularly once Gord put the guitar down. He's not playing it _every_ time they play a song from IBE, is he?

Please, boys, I'm begging ya: announce your American dates soon! After watching that, I need my fix of real, live, shamanic Hip. Might I suggest four shows at Somerville this time around? As much as it might try my fiancee's patience, I'll be at every one.

I watched the webcast. I thought it was a pretty decent show EXCEPT: maybe it's just me but I could hardly hear Paul on the guitar, the mic went out for a second or two at one point, and Gord left out the entire first verse to Fully, Completely. Still though, it sounded pretty good overall. Also, is Robbie moving around a lot more than usual? Seems like it to me. As far as Gord's range, we all know he is limited but it doesn't really matter. I'd much rather hear Gord belt out SKU live with emotion and soul than hear a pitch perfect song from Jessica Simpson or Celine or someone!

Gotta say this is one boring hip show...

Gordie looks like he's been forced into it....Especially at the end of grace too, where he seems to be just waiting it out.....so wierd....

What might lead this show to look boring - could be the way it was at the show.
Play two songs, build up the emotion - STOP.
Answer some questions.
2 songs build up emotion - STOP.
Commercial.
Alot of standing around.
Might have lost something there.
Even took the crowd awhile to build up each time.

I thought the show was quite enjoyable myself. Although Gord wasn't in his finest ranting form, the music sounded tight, and Mr Baker was definitely in a groove (as could be noted as early as Vaccination Scar when his leg was going with the beat). Sure, for the die hard fans this may seem to be a "boring" show, yet were it any other band, I believe this show would be slated as top notch.
