Well if they were looking for a Canadian rock singer, I'm so, so, so thankful they picked Gord rather than Chad Kruger. Gord may not have the best anthem voice, but compared to this guy, he could pass for the Canadian Idol... maybe that's what they were thinking when they asked him to sing before Fantasia and Ruben Studdard.

Well, now that I think of it, Ryan Malcolm won CI with karaoke like chops so maybe Gord could do well. Hey, his solo career is managed by one of the judges so....
