I posted the first photo before, but figured it's relevant enough to repeat...

Presenting Gus...the polar bear from Central Park (source: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.nynewsday.com/entertainment/nyc-cp-zoo-gallery,0,6545864.photogallery?coll=nyc-home-buckets&index=4">http://www.nynewsday.com/entertainment/ ... ts&index=4</a><!-- m --> )

BTW...Gus (the track) is slowly rising to the top of my list as well... :thumb:

After a few listens, Are We Family is stealing the album for me.
Can't wait to hear it live.

Straighten up for the collective good, or is this the family you want? We're in it together through thick and thin, the distant brotherhood of nation, and the Rena Virk reference that someone else mentioned, make this one a winner above and beyond the fantastic sound.

Agreed! Fully.....and completely!

Great album all-in-all!!

I'm hearing a lot more of Paul's guitar on this CD. The sound of his guitar is heard a lot, maybe even overtop of Robby's guitar at certain points, I dunno.

I'm loving the mellower songs....Are we family, Mean Streak, If New Orleans is beat

Other stand outs: Copenhagen, Josephine, Can't be Nashville everynight, Gus

But the whole thing sounds amazing!!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this album, especially The Heart of the Melt and You're Everywhere. Really catchy and great music here. Mark me down as impressed.

I was thinking the same thing last night. Paul stands out on this album. Robbie's lead is great in most of the songs, but the driving rythym guitar is prevalent in every song. I like it.

Love it!! My favorite right now is GUS 8)

Mike..love the pics of Gus :thumb:

My fave by far is Heaven, but Gus and New Orleans is Beat is a close second...

Of course, these titles will all change each time I spin the CD...

Finally I get into this site (haven't read any other posts yet)!

Ok, so like holy crap Confusedhock: ! I love this cd so much I could cry! I've listened fully through only twice. I can't say that I've ever loved so many songs off an album right off the bat like this! I totally love One Night in Copenhagen, GUS (if it was Neil Young singing I wouldn't blink an eye. Eh? Don't ya think?! with Crazy Horse), and You're Everywhere! Oh and can't be Nashville Every night!

To be continued after a few more listens...Oh and Happy Canada Day my fellow Canadians! Have a blast at the show and drink a beer for me working here out of the motherland  :thumb:

Yeah I feel the exact same way. It's such an amazing album - i can't even begin to describe it.
When I'm home the album is playing non-stop and as soon as I leave the house I cant stop myself playing the tunes in my head or humming to them all day long - I caught the IBE bug and it's not looking good

Being perfectly honest here, this entire album is going to take some time for me...

I dont want to pretend that I love it, or that I feel as though im TRYING to like it. But I have confidence....

I'm just curious - what don't you like about it? Or what exactly do you feel you need to get used to?

Hey girl - I've got IBE-itis too  !
I'e been listening non-stop also (except when I sleep) since I got it thanks to (or curse) my iPod. My day here at work has been a little less than productive (SSShhh! ). I'm so giddy! I feel like I'm in love or smeothin' Confusedcratch: CRAYZEEE!

I've got the bug as well. Over the last couple of days I've listened to it at home, in the car, in my head, AND in my sleep. I know it's only 2 days old, but I'm already proclaiming it album of the year. I don't care what gets released in the next few months. IBE is #1 on my list.
