I wish I lived in Calgary at the moment....Stanley Cup Insanity and small club hip shows. That's pretty cool. Then again, I can't complain about living in Ontario. We do get more than our fair share of shows.
Here's hopping to something like the IVL premier at Club 279 in 2002.

I checked the Hip Club but didn't see anything.

This is how the tickets for the IVL secret shows were dispersed, as per a Hip mailer:

"There are only two ways to get tickets for these special shows. The first is to listen to local radio stations for a chance to win tickets....
....The second way to win is by entering the random draw at The Hip Club after you have registered your THC membership, for your chance to win a double pass to one of the shows. Once registered you will be able to submit your name for a chance to go to ONE of these shows.
We have 40 pairs of tickets for Toronto, 20 pairs of tickets for Buffalo, 30 pairs of tickets for Detroit/Windsor and 125 pairs of tickets for the boat on Lake Champlain. The Hip club winners will be notified by email of the show location."

If this is the way they're doing it this time around, it's gonna be pretty hard to get tickets!

Congrats to all who emailed me their phone # so far and said hello. I have a master list with everyone's name and number. I am currently speaking with 2 different individuals who have VERY GOOD info on the Toronto show possibility.... no promises or info that I will post at this time.... but it does look good.
Once Again - if you hear something please email or call me. Everything will be held until it is confirmed. It's just one spot for all the info to be pieced together so we can all get to the show !!!
I'm not sure they'll do that formatt again TLB...hard to say ? Although I got into the IVL one and had NO TICKET !!!! 8)

Called the radio stations here in Vancouver but they haven't heard anything. Dicks website shows nothing & tried calling but no answer. A friend of mine DJ's there, so he's gonna try to dig up some dirt for me.

I called Richard's yesterday and received confirmation it is happening on June 25. The guy was surprised I heard about it as it is/was supposed to be low-key. He says there will be a limited number of tickets for sale but it will primarily be industry-invite only. He did not know what the Hip Club is. I would assume that it will ultimately be a combination of industry/Hip Club for ticket distribution but we'll see
He advised that I call him back next Monday for more info but I will be calling him back before then.

I have a collection of phone numbers people have sent me that they are at most frequently... and i am in touch with a few people regarding the possibility of a Toronto show over the next 7-14 days...
......and I thought by pooling all of the information & rumours to one spot...this thread & "my email"... the minute I get correct information I will begin to call everyone on the list to let them know where & when the show is. I may have some on the list call others depending on how many numbers I end up with.....
If they do the Hip Club thing then it may be out of my hands but if it's just a day-of-show anouncement then this system should help many of us out!
