Tough choice indeed. Both excellent songs. On one hand, The Dire Wolf is one of my wife's favourite Hip songs, and it was her the highlight of the Toronto #2 show on the MMP tour - and I respect and give points for that. On the other hand, The Dark Canuck has misted cars honking their applause at the clouds of blood at the end of Jaws. Sorry, honey, I love you, but you just can't complete with that.

I too voted 'Dire Wolf' off the island, after considerable ponderation. CLOUDS OF BLOOD AT THE END OF JAWS etc. is just too good. Plus Gord Downie chatted briefly with me about it. Much as I oppose "arbitrary personal associations" as a factor in evaluating songs, I'll make an exception for that.

I believe the awesome simultaneous powers of the Dark Canuck & the Dire Wolf have conspired to confound ppl's ability to vote one or the other out this round.
