Oh yeah that is the stuff. That little tidbit of info should keep my addiction in check for the next little while. Mind you this is the worst part of the wait for me. I know that it is almost done yet they still don't give a date. I WANT IT NOW :jump . I have to see if there is any validity to the claims that it will resemble Road Apples. I guess until we really know I am gonna have to sit here and live on RA and Phantom Power :? .

Ok, now forgive me for putting somewhat of a damper on the evening, but where are all of those who were complaining about the band not giving us updates "by the minute"???
Personally (and from the reactions in this thread, I'm not alone), news about a new disc has far more impact when it's "sprung" on us like this...
In contrast, would you rather hear "Well, we finally laid down track number 6, but Johnny got a blister so it could be a week before we get to number 7..."???...[insert "asleep" icon here]...
The band has to know the impact news like this has on "the community" (or else why release a presser to that effect????)...
I guess you could say I'm in the minority (or is it the silent majority?) that looks upon each new disc as a gift, rather than an entitlement of being a fan of this band...
Anyway, those summer nights at the cottage just got one hell of a lot sweeter... :jump

Now come on. I think it was perfectly appropriate for fans to vent their frustration about the rather lengthy period of Hiplessness we are now (thankfully) ending. I don't think it was sprung from a sense of "entitlement"- more likely from an excited and impatient enthusiasm. Nothing wrong with that!
