Only "Part 2" as near as I can tell. Misses the first eight songs (which includes early appearances of Save The Planet and Vapour Trails). But this includes Coconut Cream...

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm really glad this board's still here. If for no other reason than that Emperor Penguin post.
I'm mainly there to be a shit disturber but have met a cool few people through it.. and a couple of crazies. I turned off all notifications within an hour of joining.
I'm glad this was released since the "HOW IS GORD DOING" posts were getting out hand. On the other hand, now people are reposting it every hour "HEY GUYS HAVE YOU SEEN THIS YET"

Notifications went off very quite wit this board. People keep sharing the same articles continuously with "I dont think this has been shared before" Maybe not today but 15 times in the past month, I stay quiet on there as it is probably for the best, I would get kicked out. No doubt there are a few good ones on there though.

So great to see Gord on stage again. What a beautiful moment. Watching that you can just feel the love coming off that stage.

While we're talking about that Hip Facebook group: back in August, after the first Toronto show, I posted a picture of the Leafs' Stanley Cup banner. 1951 was conspicuous by its absence: it was the one banner missing and, well,
y'know. Anyway, I posted a picture and a message in the group to see if anyone knew what the story was.
First response, paraphrased: "LOL at a Leaf fan missing a banner from the 50s."
And then it devolved into non-Leaf fans chirping Leaf fans. I responded to the original chirp, then muted all subsequent notifications. I honestly don't think the guy who posted it had any idea what that particular banner might've had significance that particular night.

Illness probably compounds this, but I've seen him join a few bands on stage over the years and he never really looks like he knows where to go, what to do with his hands, etc. Opposite of how he commands the stage with the Hip, which makes me consider how much different "onstage Hip Gord" and "regular Gord" are.
I completely agree and have always felt the same. The first time I ever noticed was in person at Music Without Borders when several bands played Rockin in the Free World.

Am I the only one who found this video extremely sad and almost patronizing?

Not in the slightest. It's remarkably tough to watch, in my opinion. A weird mix of heart warming and gut wrenching.

Really? I didn't get that vibe at all. I thought it was a really beautiful moment between a group of musicians who clearly love and respect Gord. It's definitely tough seeing him looking so frail and struggling with lyrics/memory, etc.. so yea, that part is sad. But that video warms my heart, and I thought it was a perfect song to perform with him.

I have a hard time watching or hearing anything with Gord in it. I start tearing up. I only got halfway through this one. I still can't get through an entire Hip song without getting choked up.

Maybe I'm just a sap.
I'm warmed to see that he's doing all right, getting out there doing what he loves, and seeing friends. I hope he does this for a very long time.

Was this the secret show in support of camp trillium ? If so, I skipped school that day and "borrowed" my dads car to go get wristbands. Came home in the afternoon and was grounded for taking the car... luckily my father was cool that i had tickets for a show for that night and let me go.
That show was amazing and that venue is missed.

I felt similar, but not patronizing in the least, just a bit sad.
Maybe I am misreading it, but it sure looked like the intention was for Gord to do the entire second verse, but just couldn't get through it. I think he really took that hard, looks really disappointed with himself and is why he stepped to the far back. You see everyone going up to him telling him it's ok, especially Cuddy giving him a hug and talking to him about it.
Again, that's just the way it looked to me, I could easily be way off base though.
