Re: Can someone explain the ticket verification process plea - HIP1992 - 07-28-2016

I bought 2 tickets for Hanilton show section 107(right beside stage) off of Stubhub and they are credit card entry

The seller sent me receipts and 2 Amex "gift cards" , they both have a ticket associated with them
I'm just going to sign the back of both cards and say at venue i bought them and I should be good!!

Wait so how does this work if you buy of stubhub? The tickets are instant download and electronic...

and ticketmaster says:

"Some locations are CREDIT CARD ENTRY only; RESTRICTIONS APPLY: CREDIT CARD USED FOR PYMT AND ID REQ'D TO ENTER; TICKET IS NON TRANSFERABLE."

could this be a problem?

I feel like I haven't seen a clear answer, although I am probably just dumb.

everytime i have done credit card entry with other bands, u2, springsteen etc it was you just need the credit card to enter
no photo id was necessary
they swipe your card, print off the tickets right there and in you go

If you have physical tickets or e-tickets that you can download and print, your section is not credit card entry so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I bought tix for hamilton (section 106) and toronto 3 (section 119) off of stubhub - the tix have the original buyers name on them.
but I was able to upload the e-tickets off of the site.
Does that mean that these are NOT credit card entry tix since I have the physical tickets???
Please someone let me know...don't want to miss out! Thanks

so are the tickets sold on stubhub and other third-party sites typically these "e-tickets" or is it possible they could be credit card entry? What are e-tickets exactly? just tickets that can be scanned off your phone?

Re: Can someone explain the ticket verification process plea - Dev - 07-29-2016

if my research is leading me anywhere, it's that credit card entry only would be paperless tickets which are not the '"electronic tickets" being sold on third-party retailers?

It does sound like I will need to print my tickets tho?

They are, the seller uses a prepaid credit card and snail mails it to the buyer.

so buying tickets today for a show on monday is not really going to work then? especially if I have to spend the weekend driving to calgary...

If you see stubhub tickets that are either hard tickets (shipped by UPS), or "instant download" / "electronic tickets" (which are PDF files that you download and print at home), you are fine. They are not credit card entry.

Re: Can someone explain the ticket verification process plea - Dev - 07-29-2016

Thanks for the clarrification, Grimes (I really hope you are right).

Has anyone used TicketNetwork or any other third-party retailers beside Stubhub?

Re: Can someone explain the ticket verification process plea - Dev - 07-29-2016

BTW, I have no idea how this shit is legal. It truly is disgusting.
