If anyone needs me the morning after the show, I'll be at Morrison's eating my body weight in grilled cheese sandwiches.

Got am email today stating that there are no single rooms available. I was able to book a double for few dollars more.

I'm looking at Airbnb for a trip tomorrow (biking each way and I can't manage 12 hours in a day!) and there's a boat that accommodates 3 for $36/night Wink

If anyone wants it please let me know and I will see about getting the reservation names changed.

It is at the Kingston Knights Inn. There are 2 Queen beds and the total is $134.

which location? looks like there are 2 in kingston(the ones that is farther away is 2327 princess)
is the one u have at 1155 princess str ?
if that is the case i am interested
thanks

I am actually going to outright cancel the reservation. If anyone wants a room there should be one available right now.

I just noticed on Air BNB that there is a room at the Four Points by Sheraton available, and it appears to be cheaper than what you would pay via booking through the hotel website. The hotel website continues to indicate that they are sold out.

Could be a good option for those still looking for nicer accommodations downtown Kingston. $200/night

Was able to book at the Holiday Inn Express, so we hope to maybe get a little brain surgery in on the side.
But had to book for four days though; shorter stays didnt come up. Not particularly cheap, but there were some more available when I booked. Stuff was popping up in Napanee that was reasonable and seemed nice, but wanted to be staying in town the night of the show at least.

My brother and I are driving across the country so looks like Kingston will be homebase for our stay in Ontario.
Word on the street is that Kingston is beautiful, so that works out just fine by me. Big Grin

Would love to make it a true coast-to-coast and hit Ottawa, Quebec and New Brunswick or beyond.

I work for a hotel chain.... and a 'sold-out' hotel is rarely sold out.

Just made my booking.

I don't have a ticket, but I'll at least be in Kingston.

Good plan. The streets are going to be nuts. I can't wait and yet at the same time, don't want the day to come. So confused.

Re: Accommodations in Kingston Aug 20 - birdseyeview - 06-18-2016

I've decided to forego getting tickets to the show and watch it in the comfort of my home. I have a hotel at the Confederation Place Hotel (right by the venue) booked and would certainly give it up for someone on here. Just shoot me a message and we can work out the details. Paid $150 American which was non-refundable.

As a Kingstonian I have exchanged messages with a few people looking for advice. Have been hesitant to slam any option publicly, but don't mind doing so through PMs as some can attest.

Confederation place Hotel is in a great location - the second closest hotel to the venue, by the water, across from city hall and a short walk to many good restaurants/bars. Including some that I have to assume are favourites of Rob, Paul and Gord S.

At this point, it may be impossible to find a better spot @ that price point Aug 20. The Golden Rim Motor inn is sold out, so I wouldn't let this offer of a place with soft water and a color tv pass me by.
