I'm flying from Moncton to Toronto for the Aug 12th show with a buddy of mine. I think this will be my 7th show but 1st not in the maritimes. I've never met any Basers before but im certainly down to meet up in TO for a Beer somewhere before the show!

I'm a Californian, traveling to Kingston for the Aug 20th show. I would love to meet up with other fans, whether it's a formal event or just a gathering at a local bar. I've never been to Canada. The number one thing on my bucket list was to see the Hip in Canada (I've seen them many times in the US) so this is my last chance. I feel as if I'm preparing for a trip to Mecca, scouting all of the places in the songs. If you have any suggestions on Hip things to do/see, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

I am a Kingstonian and will make a completists list of things to do for you.

Would also be very happy to set up a Kingston hipbase meetup pre or post show for anyone interested. Maybe it evolves into a viewing party for those of us that remain shut out of tickets. Posted that I would be willing to organize in the fb group but didnt hear back or get a response. I am not an avid/frequent facebooker.

I am also planning "A museum after dark" where we can display our merch/collectables, swap stories, etc. after the show. This is the first time I have posted that publicly. Any thoughts/suggestions on that would be much appreciated.

Your whole post made me laugh. It's hard to not have a ticket to that show, but hearing how much the show means to the people who did get lucky eases my regrets & fury a little bit lol. Really great post, thanks for sharing. I think the show will be everything you hope for & more, since that's kinda how the band rolls. Congrats on scoring a ticket.

How about Edmonton night one? The Forum Inn for beers around 4 or 5 PM?
