Hopefully I get mine today. My mail man does not seem to show up often. If there is a drop of rain or flake of snow then we don't get mail.

So, what does the remaster actually sound like? I know the original mix sounds like the percussion was played on tin cans... does the remaster improve any of the sounds? Little more bass heavy than the original? Clearer guitars or vocals?
Do the songs sound close to the remixed tracks from Yer Favourites, or are they closer to the original?
I'm still waiting for my vinyl, so I haven't heard it yet, and I'm surprised no one has posted about it.

It sounds exactly like Yer Favourites. I really like it. It sounds awesome in my car compared to the sound of the original.

That is the definition of what you usually get from a remaster. Here is the definition of what you usually get from the original. "Sounds awesome on my Hi-Fi compared to the sound of the remaster"

Anyone know of any retail stores in Cornwall ONT that would be selling the Super Deluxe Edition?

But most importantly, how does it sound on a pono?

He's right. The tracks on Yer Faves were remixed by Don Smith. The reissue was simply remastered. If you listen to the version of "Looking for a Place to Happen" from Yer Faves, you'll notice it's a few seconds longer and doesn't fade out like it does on the FC version. Also, the drums are more prominent in the mix and sound a little crisper on Yer Faves.

Edited for clarity:
I disagree with the comment that the new versions don't sound at all like Yer Faves.
And remastered vs remixed... Both resulted in a sound that is different from the original. And to me, the re-release and the versions on Yer Faves sound similar. (And as I understand it if a track is remixed it will have to be remastered in order to be output to CD/iTunes/etc...)

They're different. Plain and simple. Listen to the title track. On Yer Faves there's way more left to right differences especially near the climax of song
