All
including Leave are extremely rare. I can't believe you don't have more realistic songs to chase. Think harder.

Yea, I should add that besides Thugs, I'm also chasing an exact replication of Killer Whale Tank, Cemetery Sideroad, and Paul and Rob engaging in a best-of-7 paper-rock-scissors match onstage.

very cool thread!
ok, I am hoping to hear 50 Mission Cap, Sherpa, Locked and three pistols when they tour EU this year (pleease). I have never heard
3 pistols live - Dana...do you know when they have pulled that out last?

El Dorado was a big one for me to knock off in Fargo. Just in case Mav reads this my wishlist for Winnipeg/Brandon is Lionized, An Inch An Hour, Sherpa and Emperor Penguin.

I caught inch and hour in San Fran and Lionized in Vegas - both REALLY amazing and hope you hit one or both in the peg!
Dana, since you asked for it...Was 3 pistols on the 09 tour? ... and what are your odds that they are going to hit EU after the Canadian run?
'best, Edward

I'd like to be able to say that I've heard them play my 5 favourite songs from each album. For that to happen, I still need Flamenco, Another Midnight, Opiated and 5 songs from EP.
As for 3 Pistols, it is fairly rare but does show up about a half dozen times each tour, including 09.

I feel like in Winnipeg we get Three Pistols all the time. Just going by memory, I think they played it here in 2004, 2007 and one of the shows in 2009. Unfortunately, that means we also haven't got An Inch An Hour, The Wherewithal or On The Verge since the early-to-mid 90's!

My top two are Impossibilium and No Threat, followed by (in no particular order) Sharks, Toronto #4, The Luxury and Wherewithal.
I've been fortunate to hear Thugs 3 times, Cordelia twice, Flamenco 3-4 times, On the Verge twice, 38 Years Old, Every time You Go, Opiated, Apartment Song...The first show I ever saw (Ottawa Nov. 28, 1996) was incredible: Opiated, Everytime You Go (even though this isn't on the set list on the website, it was played...I've tried to get them to correct this but it hasn't happened), Apartment Song, 700 Ft, Cordelia, Put if Off, Thugs...that show alone knocked off a bunch on my list.

It is on the handwritten setlist, but none of the bootlegs:

And a few from the first two albums...
I forgot to mention one of my all-time chases..... 38 Years Old.
19 shows and counting....still no 38 Y.O.

Edmonton later this month will be my eighth show. I've still never heard Locked or 50MC. I'd love to hear one of those. I missed the WATS tour, so I'd love TDS, MM, or The Last Recluse. On my wishlist are Escape, Penguin, Luv, Cordelia, Lionized, Daredevil.

That's an interesting setlist; the encore is totally different than what's posted on the Hip's website and what I remember from the show. The website lists Fully Completely as the second song, rather than Everytime, but they definitely played Everytime.

The Hip always used to use the written encore as a basis of kinda what to do.
It was always great that they posted the written setlist after the shows because it almost never matched what they played and I liked to see what was "supposed" to be played.
For example - look at the written setlist: Wheat, Nautical, Fire, Engaged.
And here is the actual encore (they played 2 encores)
Scared
100th Meridian
Thugs
Coconut Cream
Blow at High Dough

The 1996 and 1999 tours/shows were my favourite live Hip experiences, some really amazing stuff there.
