Not even close to the worst half time show ever . I guess you forgot that Green Day performed a few years ago. Hey, didn't Earth, Wind, and Fire perform recently, too? Not to mention Janet Jackson and Timberlake and I think U2 stunk up the joint not too long ago, too. Yeah, so, like I said, not even close to being the worst half time show at the SB.

i am sorry, but it was terrible. hey pete .. we all know you like to do the big windmill move with your guitar, but enough already.

and the vocals were brutal

I thought they were pretty good. The vocals were a little shaky at the first, but as they went on i thought they got better. Was it the best Superbowl performance i've seen? No. Was it one of the worst? Hardly. I thought the visuals were great & the band sounded pretty damn good.

And on a side note, i didn't know Ringo's son was their live drummer.

weird, i noticed that too, maybe it was tape delay?

visuals were fantastic, but the band is clearly showing its age, the stones reference is spot on..still coasting on past glories.

isnt it time for a halftime show with a band under the age of 50???

I recommend The White Stripes for next year!

Tom Petty, and The Boss were both much better than The Who. White Stripes are a'ight, but not anywhere near big enough to do the superbowl (to do it justice at least, IDK, I just don't see it, I don't think they're a big enough name, or that they appeal to a broad enough audience).They should get Metallica to do one before they're too old, but I don't know if they'd go that heavy. Foo Fighters, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rush, Beastie Boys, AC/DC...I think any of those bands would be great halftime performers for a superbowl.

AC/DC would be cool. I've never seen them live in person, but I remember watching that Toronto SARS concert on TV a few years back and they absolutely blew the Stones off the stage.

Fuck ya, I was at that show, and indeed they did. Rush were pretty damn good too though, but the crowd belonged to AC/DC. I thought Green Day might've done one a few years back, but I don't really remember that one, apparently I didn't miss much.

I saw AC/DC play Magnetic Hill last year & they were great. They weren't as good as when i saw The Rolling Stones play the same venue in 2005 though. The Rolling Stones show was & remains the best concert i've ever attended, although Paul McCartney in Halifax was pretty damn sweet too!

I'm surprised actually that AC/DC has never played half time??

The Who weren't awful... they were just Stones-esque after being upstaged by AC/DC and Justin Timberlake at SarsStock bad...

Early favourites for next year's Super Bowl half-time show include Steely Dan, Supertramp, and the unfrozen corpse of Buddy Holly (too soon?)

I am sorry but it was NOWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS MOST HALFTIME SB PERFORMERS. I am not really a fan of The Who, by the way, but it was what it was. Like I said, there have been much,much, much worse performances.

Bruce wasn't all that great to be honest. Can't see why everyone seems to love that guy. He's alright but nothing great.

Green Day already did it and they completely s*cked.

Clearly, you weren't there. His band was tighter, he was more agile than Jagger (just ask any of the assholes who threw waterbottles at him and missed) and he had the balls to throw a snip of "Cry Me A River" during the duet on "Miss You." I lost a ton of admiration for the Stones as musicians that day. They didn't belong on that stage. Good on them for spearheading the thing... but man, I'm glad I hadn't paid full tilt to see them the year before at the ACC.

Let's actually make a list of the other bands better than the Stones that day (in no particular order):

Blue Rodeo
Rush
The Guess Who
The Isley Brothers
Sam Roberts Band
Kathleen Edwards
The random French act who I haven't heard of since
DJ Z-Trip

Acts the Stones were better than:
The Tea Party
The Have Love Will Travel Revue
