A single ticket?

My group is heading down the road to Allegany State Park and spending the weekend in a cabin after the show.
3 little miles away.
We stay there at least once a year anyway.
Heated cabins - running water, fridge, two bedrooms. Pretty nice and between 75-95 a night.

Dana,
If you don't mind, whats the name name of this place? It sounds doable.

Allegany State Park
You have to reserve through Reserve America, but the link below should work.
The link below is for 2 nights, but you can adjust it for one.
I am staying in Beehunter 24

It's a really really nice hotel. I've been there a few times because my aunt gambles alot there and gets free rooms.

Yeah, nice or not though - the next weekend is only $155 a night.
Before the dates were announced I was trying to get The Hip date from some employees I know, and even some higher ups, and none of them could figure it out for me. I just wanted to get a room before the hotel went "oh, we should jack the prices for the concert"
Oh well, instead of a nice night for the wife and I at the Casino, I get to spend it with good friends at a great camping place. (and coincidentally, now I am not gonna make Syracuse though.)

Re: Salamanca Nov. 6th - bolivarbill - 07-30-2009

Saw the Black Crowes there in April of '08 and yes, it's a very flat venue, essentially a ballroom with a stage set up at one end. Beer is kind of pricey in the casino, and they allow smoking(cigarettes) in the corridors of the casino, so if you aren't used to the indoor smoke, maybe consider the Syracuse show. I got center row H of the balcony for that one, loge was gone and row W on the far left floor was the "next best available". With 7 shows within a couple hours drive of us I'd like to hit one....had to eat 2 ticks for the Tuesday Artpark, couldn't get any other Artparks, and had a wedding to attend last Saturday....
For the Crowes, at the casino, there was a guy with recording equipment across the aisle from us, though he was late and missed the first tune.
That night (in Salamanca?)the casino hotel, about $400 a room. But in Ellicottville, which is about ten miles away, there's a couple of nice places, and we stayed in one for about $100. Unless there's an early freak snow storm and the ski resort is open, I wouldn't imagine E'ville being that expensive.

Re: Salamanca Nov. 6th - tber - 07-30-2009

yeah, not only the next weekend but the next f**kin night!!! Thanks for the heads up on ellicottville.
I'm not normally a bitch about this kind of thing but this really sucks. this really could have been a great weekend! something should be done about this.

Re: Salamanca Nov. 6th - Smokey - 07-31-2009

Im up in the area often, Salamanca Ellicotville and all the surronding towns. Very tough on D.W.I. Lots of police so watch yourself. Luckily my wife doesnt drink Big Grin

Re: Salamanca Nov. 6th - Tthip - 08-06-2009

I got my The Tragically Hop tickets today for the casino show.
It made me laugh and I thought I would share it.
(not the tickets, but the receipt, but hey)
