You know, if anyone refuses to give you your money back or give you an exchange for a better quality show, I say save this thread and e-mail it to the Hip and to the people at Maple Music. Someone, somewhere, will fear the negative publicity.

Its really unfortunate that the show was butchered - it seemed like they never could quite get it down pat, i think they tried hard to fix it- but thus without success - I really think the Hip will be doing this in the future as they are affiliated with maplemusic- it was new to them and thou its really dissapointing you have to be happy for the bootlegs that worked out. Now for this particular bootleg being below quality i would ask for a refund or another boot - i cant imagine sales of the bootlegs have been overwhelming- not many people who didnt go to the shows would buy them most werent proably aware of being able to buy it in the first place . You know I was dissapointed they missed one song at lees palace -so i can just imagine how you guys feel- take care, Ryan

I tend to agree with Ryan, They prawly did all they could to try get good tape but it's I think a new thing the way they are recording the shows Confused

cratch: Recorders still shoulda been takin their equipment to the gigs, but knowing they were recording it, the normal avenues recorders uasually take are momentarily abondoned and left up to the qoute,un-quote "expats" Hopefully and God i pray by time the Hip get on this bandwagon, all the bugs will be worked out and we can get the whole gig start to finish, Amen :twisted:

This is really too bad because Gord and the band put on such an amazing show... very unfortunate the bootlegs had to be messed up by bad recording.

I believe that some of the shows were edited due to the fact that a CD can only hold about 80 minutes of music or 700 MB. I have found that most concerts run between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Gord's solo shows were shorter to fit the entire show on 1 CD, I believe. If the show ran over 80 minutes it was edited. What do you think?

Gord was definitely testing out a new avenue to reach his fans. I believe all the Hip members may be interested in doing this in the future. Being a new medium, Gord's crew had some hits and misses in recording the shows live. I'm not sure what the problem is with this boot, but I have found MapleMusic to have an accomodating customer service division. Approach them in a calm and reasonable manner and I am sure they will try to remedy the situation. I had error occur when downloading the Chicago show and MM let me redownload. Tell them the quality is poor and maybe they can enhance it.

If The Hip decide to sell live bootlegs on their next tour, I hope they stick with their standard 90 to 120 minute shows. If the bootlegs have to be edited down, so be it. I personally would not care if a complete show had to be burned to two CDs.

I am really hoping the Hip do this.

If they edit them down to one cd there's no sense of them putting out a show. I want the entire show. CD's are cheap, there's no reason to just put out one cd of a show. It's like a tease Tongue

Well, I've been busy and just got to check the BoTN site for the Halifax boot (was a wicked show!) and it said it was "Out of Stock" or some bull. Man I was pissed, then I cam here and saw all this. Glad I saved the $10

I knew you'd like the naming of that. I'm guessing people complained to MapleMusic thus why you can't buy it anymore. Maybe if we're lucky, they're re-dooing it...highly unlikely but I can dream....
