I wonder if the delay has more to do with marketing, then the actual completion of the album. It wouldn't be the first time a record company has held onto a CD to be more strategic with their releases.....

You're probably right, but I really hate it when record companies do that. Wouldn't it make more sense to get this album out before the end of the year to take advantage of the holiday shopping season? I suppose this delay means that we won't be getting the usual Canadian winter tour. It's a damn shame I tell ya.

As much as I love the Hip, it might be a case of wanting to have all the "hot sellers" out for Christmas, and letting the "lesser lights" come out in the spring, where they wouldn't get trampled by the likes of Britney, Simple Plan, or 50 cent...... or whoever is supposedly cool these days.
