Me too (with the exception of the new Hip record of course). I'll never forget standing right in front of the stage at the Big Easy in Spokane with about 8 other people watching Sammy open up for the Hip. Everybody else in the place was standing near the bar at the back of the room, and it was like we were getting our own little private Sam Roberts show. Even with only a small handfull of people in front of the stage, it was obvious this guy's plan was to blow the socks off of every single person in that venue. The energy was amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on this album.[/quote]
I couldn't agree with you two more, SRB is one of those bands for me that everyone I'm sure has. They were one of the first bands that I got really "into", when I was younger. None of my friends particularly appreciated what they were doing or had an interest like I did in them. I was constantly checking their website for updates (back in the days when they had a link directing people to the unrelated Sam Roberts handbag company), and waiting for new albums. I think I was one of probably 100 people at SARStock that was actually excited to see them perform. After I'd burned my copy of BIAF out from way too many repeated playings I thought that they'd never release new material. Now it's funny since after the release of CC alot of my friends have been converted to fans and are anticipating the release of this album. Anyways I'm rambling, I just think they're an underappreciated band is all. :what

Well good video.
Kinda reminded me of the guy on the HDRC forum who made several music videos using the SIMS.

Just pre-ordered a copy now! Thanks for the heads up. I figured this album will be tougher to find in NY given that a few of the independent music stores that all used to carry great Canadian music like SRB have gone out of business.
Hopefully they announce a tour to promote the new album! I figure Buffalo would be a stop since they are very well received here.
What I have heard of the album so far sounds great (all 3 minutes of it), so I have high hopes for Love at the End of the World.

I pre-ordered mine from iTunes today. You get to download the last track on the album with the preorder, and when the album is released, you get an exclusive "Them Kids" remix by K-os...

Just ordered mine from killthe8 as well as a 7 inch single for brother down. Can't wait, anybody know if these things usually ship out so I'll get it by the release date or am I playing with the metaphorical fire here?

Their outdoor concerts are usually jam packed - but it is a damn cool outdoor venue.

That looks like a cool venue. I'm going to see Sam Roberts in August opening for John Fogerty & The Eagles in Moncton. Very excited over this show, especially Fogerty. Last i heard there were over 50,000 tickets sold so far.
I've seen Sam Roberts live twice, both times at the Festival of Lights. In 2003, but the show was delayed 2 or 3 songs in b/c of a huge thunder & lightning storm, which brought a ton of rain. We didn't bother going back, but i guess the show did continue after a little bit. Next time was in 2006 opening for The Hip, and again it rained, but this time it was inbetween Matt Mays & SRB's sets, and it wasn't too bad...though it did make the red dye come out of my Magnetic Hill Hip shirt & go all in my shorts
