Could you imagine what a great night Tue Apr 22 would be if all the series went to a game 7.
14 out of the 16 teams are scheduled for a game 7 that night.
It just caught my attention because you do not usually see the scehdule work out in this manner.
Senators Penguins
Flyers Capitals
Rangers Devils
Predators Red Wings
Avalanche Wild
Flames Sharks
Stars Ducks

Deep down Ottawa fans respect the hell out of him and at 41 years old, what a great motivational example for the younger guys!!!

I didn't see much of the game, but from what I saw it's looking a lot like Pens in 4. Ottawa has really fallen apart.
The Pens, to me, are the scary team in the east -- since injuries have kept Crosby and Hossa out of a lot of games since the trade deadline, what that team will do at full strength is an unknown.

I'm obviously happy with the outcome in tonights Rangers/Devils game, but the Rangers are going to be a lot sharper from here on out if they expect to win this series. Way too many unforced turnovers tonight. Henrik Lundqvist was the difference in this game, he outplayed Martin Brodeur.
Scott Gomez wasn't too bad either

Yeah! I hope so. When Crosby and Hossa get more in sync watch out!
GENO!! Man, Malkin is incredible. I had so much fun watching all four games tonight. This is by far the best matchups in the playoffs in a long time. And my remote control got a work out. And Thursday night games, can't wait, this is so fun. :jump

you beat me to it, lol!
indeed, that flames sharks game was something else...avs and wild was great too!
I have a feeling that the sharks are going to have a much better game 2, but I am quite impressed with Calgary going in to the tank and getting a win in game 1. Iggy was Iggy, Kipper was Kipper, and the Flames were just better when they needed to be tonight. We're in for a one helluva series, because the sharks most certainly aren't about to fade away into the night...
Pittsburgh gave Ottawa a rude awakening...if you're a Sens fan you might want to just go back to sleep though, because it's not loookin' good at all...oh well, the good news is, you probably won't have to watch the sens suffer for much longer.
Rangers looked a little bit sloppy, but overall, i liked what i saw, they made the best of their oppertunities, and they got good performances from their top players...Jagr, Gomez, Shanny, Avery, and Lundqist all played well. New Jersey looked a little lost at times...or maybe unaware that this was game 1 of the playoffs, not game 82 of the regular season...they'll definately need to do just about everything better in game 2 if they're to have any hopes at all of playing in the 2nd round.
Colorado played a solid game, much like the Rangers, it seemed as though all of their top players had a good game as well, especially Smyth, but that's what we've all come to expect and admire from #94...and Smokin' Joe lights another last-shot winner in the postseason! Any night that you can tie Maurice Richard in the record books is something special. no doubt, that was a big one to boost his team to 1-0 series lead, and wrestle away hom-ice advantage from the wild. Theodore had a great game too, nice to see him lookin' like his oldself again.

I thought the Devils actually played pretty good, just they didn't get any bounces (they hit the crossbar/post 4 or 5 times), and Lundqvist made a pair of "highlight of the night" type stops.
Lundqvist has only allowed 10 goals in 9 games against the Devils this season!

So, maybe, just maybe Lundqvist was just luckier than Brodeur in game one and not better. It's possible. :rambo:

it is, but Lundqist is one of the best in the league IMO, and i wouldn't be all that surprized to see him play better than Brodeur this series.
