That was quite a game last night -- Xavier-West Virginia. Had to be exhausting -- will be interesting to see if Xavier can get back to that level again in 48 hours.

I'm interested to see how Kansas does tonight.

If they're as good as I think they are, they will trounce Villanova.

UNC is separating itself from the field, imo. Kansas needs a comfortable win tonite for me to think they are at the same level as the 'heels.

Memphis and KU both seemed ultra comfortable last night. And now I'm headed into the Cascades backcountry for four nights, so I'll find out if KU stopped Curry & Co. (and how the Royals fared on opening day) on ... Wednesday. Here's hoping I can get back home next week with a North Carolina-Kansas throwdown to look forward to...

Home from the tourney - I'm so happy Davidson made a game of it yesterday. Davidson's first game on friday was pretty exciting. Curry is the fuckin man!! He was unstoppable!!

The second game on Friday was BORING!!! Kansas had their way with Villanova. The crowd went from a record setting 57,000+, to no more than 7,000 once that game was in the bag.

The crowd for sunday's game was absolutely insane. Everyone was cheering for Davidson, other than the one section of Kansas fans, who barely stood up and barely cheered the whole time. The Davidson section was a lot more into the game the whole time. Even when Kansas won, it really didnt look like they were too into it.

All in all a great event. Ford field is an amazing venue. A little too big for basketball, some seats were really far away. But still an experience to remember!!

First time ever all four #1 seeds advance to the Final Four... incredible, eh?

Hopefully it makes for some epic basketball.

Still disappointed Davidson didn't spring the upset though... Stephen Curry was fantastic!

Agreed. Athleticism can only get you so far. They cannot shoot free throws to save their lives. Tourney lives, that is.
I'm hoping you both are right. Four long, agonizing hours till tip-off...

All Memphis had to do was make one or two free throws at the end. Confusedhock: Their big weakness basically cost the school a national title. Oh well! Congrats to Kansas! That three pointer to tie it at the end of regulation was SAAAWEEEEEEEET!

Watching that game was drastically different than watching an NBA game, as far as officiating goes. They just let 'delay of game' infractions slide, basically put their whistles in their pockets, and let the kids play. It was refreshing to watch officials ACTUALLY let the players PLAY THE GAME and COMPETE. Just a few games ago, Raja Bell of the Suns was thrown out of a game for smiling. :? On Sunday afternoon, Shaq got called for a technical because he tried to bank the ball off of Dirk Nowitizki to avoid a traveling violation. :?

That really was a great game. Kind of made up for the tournament as a whole, there just wasn't a whole lot of close games overall, I read somewhere that 2/3rds or so of the games were decided by double digits. Not the kind of March Madness I prefer.

Congrats to Kansas, it was a great comeback, but the loss must be super-agonizing for Memphis. And tiger is right, the three-pointer to tie it up was fantastic!
