Canucks 2 Stars 1. Now THAT is how I expect Luongo to play. He still needs work on shootouts (he got lucky on a few) but he was great during the game. Why were Pyatt and Bieksa in the shootout? Anyway, Naslund embarassed himself by completely missing the puck on his first attempt. Naslund's head must be in Sweden. He is like a zombie out on the ice. Something's gotta give.

Poor Markus looks like he's completely lost all of his confidence. Missing the puck on the shootout, putting himself offside a couple of times, passing when he should be shooting, etc etc etc. It's tough to watch - and I'm not even a 'nucks fan.

- tommygunn - 01-04-2007

I wouldn't be surprised to see Naslund traded in the next month or so.

- The Darkest Canuck - 01-04-2007

that's all fine and dandy...but then what? they're not gonna get much for him with the way he's playing...they don't have Bertuzzi or Carter any more...Luongo isn't gonna score for them too...

wait i know, their All-star (and former Sudbury Wolves player) Rory Fitzpatrick will turn it all around for them and lead them through the playoffs .

Anyone catch the end of the Oilers-Stars game last night? Downright crazy.

And how 'bout those Leafs, scoring 10 goals in one game

- ryan93 - 01-05-2007

I saw that this morning on TSN, that was insane! How in the hell did Stefan manage not to score there? It would of been even better had the Oilers manage to win the game in OT/shootout.

I gotta hand it to 'em - helluva streak.

Tiger - I trust you aren't bitching about Luongo anymore, since he leads the NHL in wins.

Like I said, THIS IS HOW I EXPECTED HIM TO PLAY ALL YEAR LONG. Big Grin

Thanks to Pronger breaking his foot. Big Grin

And the injury-riddled Flames win again, thanks to 2 goals from Byron Ritchie, 3 assists from Tanguay, and Kipper standing on his head. Ya gotta hand it to our young guys. The kids have stepped it up big time since Iggy went down. Dustin Boyd scored his first NHL goal tonight, which ended up being the game winner on Hockey Night in Canada. Not a bad way to get your first goal!

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Iginla.

GO FLAMES!!!

That's part of the game, believe me, Buffalo knows what injuries are like, they had 5 starters out at one period this year. As for Pronger, how about Connolly missing the whole year so far?

And did anyone hear this?

"That's just stupid," Stajan said of the booing. "That's the way Toronto is. He's been there all year for us, made a lot of big saves. (Fans) can do whatever they want."

Wait a second....are you trying to say that Tim Connolly has the same impact as Chris Pronger? Seriously?

Oh man, you Sabres fans kills me. Only a Sabres fan would equate a centre with a career high of 55 points and a career +/- of minus 58 to a guy who is arguably the best defenseman in the NHL.

Yeah, that's great and all but Chris Pronger is better than every player on the Sabres so, yeah, you don't have much of a comparison.

Cferneyh pretty much summed it up. :rambo:
