Damn, that's a hell of a lineup for Osheaga. Have fun!
I just grabbed tix to see Glen Hansard at the Orpheum in Vancouver on Nov. 12th. This dude is a fantastic songwriter and I'm looking forward to finally seeing him live for the first time. I first discovered his music when he played with The Frames, and then of course the 2006 movie "Once", which won him an Oscar for best original song. For anyone who has never checked this guy out, I highly recommend it.

We have some friends in Houston we have been meaning to visit so we finally got around to planning it for thanksgiving long weekend Oct. 8-12. Was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the events in the area for the weekend...got GA tickets for the final FC show at the House of Blues in Houston on Oct 10! Still in a bit of shock over the price difference from a show there to one in Saskatoon 2 weeks prior, savings on tickets alone paid for 20% of our return flight out of Calgary! Also going to check out the friday night of the Austin city limits festival with the Foos, Royal Blood, Tame Impala, Gary Clark Jr., Disclosure & Albert Hammond Jr + many more. Would appreciate recommends on any bands listed here I need to see?
