So does that count as 6 album sales? If so looks like the Hip are doing what Prince did a couple of albums ago, you could get a copy of his new album with a ticket purchase and it was counted as an album sale, some say he did it to inflate his position on the charts. I doubt the Hip would do that intentionally, but its a cool loophole, if it counts as a "sale".
Just a funny observation.
And I got that from ol reliable itself.. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musicology_(album">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musicology_(album</a><!-- m -->)
Chart Success
Musicology quickly proved to be Prince's most successful album since Diamonds and Pearls, reaching the top 5 in the US, UK and Germany and making a significant impression on charts around the world. It also proved to be well-received by music critics. Strangely, the title track was only released as a single in Australia, where it enjoyed moderate chart success and airplay. However it was also a hit on the US R&B charts through airplay. The album was certified platinum by Billboard in June 2004 [1] and was certified double platinum in late January 2005. [2]
Part of the album's chart success is due to concertgoers receiving a copy of Musicology, with the album cost included in the ticket price. This prompted Billboard magazine and Nielsen SoundScan to change its chart data methodology: For future album releases, Billboard says that customers "must be given an option to either add the CD to the ticket purchase or forgo the CD for a reduced ticket-only price."
As soon as I saw the CD/ Ticket packages for the WATS tour, I instantly thought of Prince. If they do count as album sales I think The Hip will be cozy at #1 for a while seeing as, from what I've read, most of us are getting multiple copies, nevermind the glowing reviews WATS has been getting from the vast majority of people on here. I hope I'm right on that assumption.

Anyone willing to buy a lowly US citizen a presale ticket + CD to the Niagara Falls show since the website only allows Canadian's to purchase online. I can paypal or whatever you may need. I plan on being up there by 530-600 so I can meet you anytime between then and showtime.
I do not think it will sell out, but I'll be pissed if it does and I miss it.
