Another game, another win! This is getting fun. The Flames are looking VERY good right now, and they're getting back to their identity of being the team that everybody hates to play. I love it. Next up is Detroit on Friday, which will be a tough game. But after watching Calgary dismantle Dallas, Anaheim, and Vancouver over the last few games, I'm not too worried. The Iginla/Tanguay/Langkow line is on fire right now. In Calgary we haven't had a line this dangerous in years. Man, are they fun to watch right now.

Biggest positive surprise for me is easily the Leafs. Looking at that roster before the season started I thought they'd be hard pressed to score, yet they are 2nd in the league in goals per game. Raycroft was also a huge question mark, but he's been stellar while the guys the Bruins kept have crapped the bed in a huge way. For the sake of the 3 Bruins fans left the Bruins really should be banned from trading.

Biggest negative surprise has been the Flyers. I remember last year when they signed Forsberg and Hatcher some people around here were saying that they should be given the Cup right then and there. Whoops! I expected them to be average this season - not Columbus level bad. What the hell happened to Kyle Calder?!? From 26 goals last year to a measly 3 assists and minus 14 this season?!?!?

The Sens have really surprised me as well. Say what you want about Gerber's playoff performance last year - he was stellar in the regular season. But it looks like his confidence has been completely shot. Looks like they should have figured out a way to keep Chara.

Also, what's wrong with Shawn Horcoff? He's on pace for a 36 point season after having a 73 point season last year.

...Abby is a proven number one, and Huet has been great for Montreal...most goalies can't handle the pressure of playing under such media scrutiny, but it doesn't seem to effect him in the least...

get your head out of that massive Bison ass...

the stats don't lie...you can talk about wins all you want, but there's the irrefutable proof that the habs have the best goaltending duo in the division...and the conference...

only team with better goaltending statistically so far, is San Jose, with Toskala, and Nabakov.

nice to see Gui on the roll he's on. Makes me wonder if Roy called him out on purpose to fire him up, whether or not that was the case, it sure worked.
