As much as I dislike the Leafs , I hate Philly..Tough loss, I was hoping for an all Canadian final. Awesome hit by Tucker in OT, and of all people to score the winner.. JR :nooooo , I hope Tampa takes out Philly in 7. Hopefully they'll pound each other into submission and whoever comes out will be dead tired and hurting for the finals. Looks like it's Philly Vs Tampa and Calgary vs San Jose..Flames all the way !
Tampa over Philly in 7
Calgary over San Jose in 6 :thumb:

Good to see the Leafs get knocked out once again. Hopefully the Flames can go all the way!!!

You can really tell that its spring......the Leafs are falling
38 Years for the Leafs Nation - Stephen Dame - 05-05-2004
Get used to it Leaf fans. At the beginning of next years playoffs it'll be 38 years... here's the Nation's new theme song:
"25 men broke loose from the ACC
Went on a quest for Lord Stanley
JR's picture lined up across the front page
Seems the Leafs were hurt by Quinn and old age
Don Cherry told the people there's nothing to fear
But if you wanna back a winner: best not hang around here
They mostly came from town's with long Swedish names
But all two dozen were hog-town shames
Same pattern on the Jersey
Still no cups on the wall
Stanley's seat's been empty 38 years and all
Freezin' slow time away from the top
38 years now, never kissed the Cup. "
Ahhhh... Justice. Go Flames!

Yeah, but remember he's had a couple of weeks to work on it (ie. since the Sens hit the links)...
That said, even as a Leaf fan, I have to admit that's some quality work...
Go Flames Go!

Hey get outta my head! Yeah, I first thought of that after the Flyers game 1 win... I've been waiting a bit to use it. Got scared last night for a minute there... but all is right with the world.
Go Flames!

As Gord might say:
That was edible!
Pure genius
Thanks for a great laugh, but now that my boys are done (Wings), I can't rub in the leafs loss, though I loved to see it.

did anyone see don cherry talkin about jeremy roenick??
and the clip of him singing along to that run dmc song??
that was the only thing keeping me sane after that loss
- LoftyPines - 05-06-2004
I saw that. It was great, quite funny. Leave it to Cherry to spot that out.
You never see athletes singing to the tunes, but I always thought that they must have some favorite tunes. Maybe next year we will see Nolan singing to The Hip, or Yzerman jamming to some Neil Young.
That is, if there is a next year
