Just got back from the arse-kicking of the flyers. You can (well tha sabres can) skate circles around those big, dumb dinosaurs. Hatcher and Foresburg what a joke! Too bad no hat tricks or the 10th goal. Can't wait to go see them play Friday night against Crapolina.

ESPNEWS just said that when the Sabres went 8-0 in 1976, they also won game 6 by 9-1. :thumb:

Outshot opponents wearing the old blue jerseys 16-5. They should wear them for every game.

Definitely an entertaining game. That hit by Regehr was insane. Unfortunately the "defence-first" Flames have been trying to play 80s run-and-gun hockey the last 2 games, and it's not their strong suit. It's great that their offence is finally clicking and they're scoring some goals, but man, they really need to clamp down defensively and get back to what makes them successful: hit 'em early, hit 'em hard, score a couple of goals, and then shut the door with a strong forecheck and defensive game. Kipper has also been very average lately, which is never a good thing for the Flames. He looks tired. I'm thinkin' they should give Kipper a rest and start Noodles (Jamie McLennan) against Boston on Thursday. The boys might play a little smarter defensively if they know that Kipper isn't back there.

At practice today, captain Peter Forsberg said he was "ashamed of last night's defeat," calling it "the most humiliating in my career."

God damn am I happy I am not a Flyers fan. I think the worst thing about that game wasn't even the score. When Peters ran over Forsberg in the 3rd and called on the entire Philly team and there was no one to step up. I know its the "new" NHL but that is shameful. Where was Hatcher? Oh yea, trying to find his jock after the Afini...whatever goal.
