Have you actually heard Live's new album buddy? It's amazing. Better lyrics than Vedder or Crapple could write combined. Have a listen, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

i've heard live's new disc for sure, and like Darkest Canuck said they used to be alright, and C.S. do have catchy tunes, although most sound the same..i was just jokin around really :thumb:

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations: Another great (if a little Proggy) album from the Devonshire lads

Razorlight - Razorlight: Stadiums beckon for these lads I feel.

Foo Fighters - In Your Honor: Just keep coming back to it, mostly disc 2 at the moment for it's laid back ambiance.

Duke Special - Adventures In Gramaphone: Check this guy out on my myspace page, he's superb...

Loudon Wainwright III - One Man Guy (best of 1982-1986): He's playing the UK in October and I want tickets!

1.Soundgarden.."superunknown"...i remember this album blowing my mind when i first heard it...Mailman and Head Down are 2 of the coolest tunes from the 90's

2.The Beatles..'Rubber Soul" where the influence of Dylan and pot were starting to show...especially with lennon

3. Queens of the stone age.."lullabies"..fuckin great!!

4. Blur "Blur"...another brilliant disc from the 90's..one of the best in my opinion

5. Zeppelin.."BBC sessions"..no words do zeppelin justice

Mark Lanegan's Whiskey for the Holy Ghost (1994).



Picked this up for $1 on a cassette tape from some shady shop in Toronto back in 2003. Best dollar I've spent, I think. So much so I just purchased the album again via iTunes.

It's not an album that kick's one's ass, per se, but it sure has mood, and Lanegan's voice is the best going by far (made even more amazing by the fact he's still got lungs left a decade later, given his 2-packs per set habit).

Lanegan's amazing, his newest?, Bombed, is great. More along the lines of his work with the Queens of the Stone age...
