TSN seemed to suggest that Tellqvist was getting the start tonight.

- chicagoblackhawks77 - 10-27-2005

That's what I figured. They're playing the sens on saturday right? I'd figured that they'd want to save him for that game.

Tellqvist looked real good for the Leafs tonight... unfortunately that Toivonen (sp?) guy for Boston was good too, and the rest of the Leafs didn't play a full 60 min., so they couldn't pick up the win. Big test on Saturday with the Sens, so here's hoping the boys really pick it up then.

GO LEAFS!

i'm really starting to believe that the NH in NHL stands for NO HITTING

- kleh - 10-27-2005

that Spezza (sp?) goal in overtime was crazy, what a way to end it

Yeah... wow, that was sweet, wasn't it?

In other NHL news... Penguins win! Penguins win! What, you thought they'd go 0-82?

11 power plays against the Flames tonight- 7 of them in the 2nd period alone. Geez, I wonder why we lost. Amazingly we managed to kill off 9 of them, including two 5 on 3's, but ya can't get any kind of offence going when you're playing the entire freakin' game short-handed. I've never been so frustrated this early in a season before. It's painful.

That being said, I still have faith. And I certainly ain't jumping off the bandwagon anytime soon. In fact, I'm DRIVING the bandwagon. But man, this team is giving me ulcers right now. Iggy finally gets hot and we still lose. But hey, at least we're not as bad as the Oilers.

:nooooo

Some of them were definitely garbage, espeically the first 5 on 3. But at least half of them were the Flames just taking stupid penalties at inappropriate times. Ugh...I'm getting frustrated just typing this. We're losing close games to so-called inferior teams (inferior on paper anyway), and these guys are NOT looking like a playoff team at all right now. Too many dumb penalties, not enough productivity from our 2nd and 3rd lines, and our PP still stinks. Once we get those things fixed, we'll be ok. I just hope it happens sooner than later.

Maybe what they need is for Sutter to call a surprise practice and give 'em a good old fashioned bag skate.

Forsberg got his first goal tonight! Woooo-hooooo!!!

Sorry, gotta give props to my favorite player.

Too bad the Pens one, I was hoping for that 0-82 season!

- Lizard King - 10-28-2005

Even though we lost, I have to tip my hat to Spezza for that goal, what a sweet move. I blame Souray for that one, why he chose to play the man like that and not the puck...just a brain fart I guess. But we got a point and are still on top! Go Habs!!

- kleh - 10-29-2005

wow thanks to don cherry (coach's corner from 1st h.n.i.c.) eric staal's rackin up points for me galore in my hockey pool !

hat trick tonight

- direwolf74 - 10-29-2005

Always fun watching the Leafs get their asses handed to them. Not even the Oilers have been spanked this badly. I love it!!!
